5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money!
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I bought this smart plug to monitor and control the energy consumption of my appliances. It was easy to set up and connect to my Wi-Fi network and smartphone app. The app allows me to see the real-time and historical power usage of each device, as well as turn them on or off remotely. I can also set schedules and timers to automate the operation of my devices. The smart plug works well with Alexa and Google Assistant, so I can use voice commands to control my appliances. The smart plug is compact and does not block the adjacent outlets. It has a LED indicator that shows the status of the connection and power. The plug feels sturdy and durable, and has a good grip. The app is user-friendly and intuitive, and has a lot of features and options to customize the smart plug. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase. It helps me save energy and money, as well as make my home more smart and convenient. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to monitor and control their appliances as well as monitor the energy consumption.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product.
Easy to setup and use. Gets regular firmware updates. A good solid product that is well built and does exactly what it's supposed to.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good Product - Easy to set up
Needed these to understand electricity usage patterns and costs. It works well and the charts and graphs are fine and useful. The interface is clean and clear. The integration to some of the more flexible tariffs needs work. You can't put intra day variable rates to this. Something to perhaps look at in the future. Otherwise it works and does the job. There are other well known brands more difficult to configure.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great on all but Homekit
Now i bought a load of these to set up with sockets around the house for christmas, and they are a breeze to set up and use, BUT creating automations in homekit was a nightmare to begin with, The only way i could get them to work reliably was by creating a scene with all the sockets i wanted to control in that scene, setting the on/off times as two separate automations and linking to the scene, but when i added an extra socket from elsewhere to a scene, then it would not work at all. Had me scratching my head for a couple of days, and was on the verge of returning them all, when after a search online noticed others having the same problem, and it seems it is nothing to do with the sockets, and everything to do with the Apple HomeKit software/programming, (Hopefully will get sorted in an update soon) If you try to set up scenes that are not the absolute most basic of setups, they fail everytime, So I have kept it simple, instead of assigning the sockets to rooms around the house, i have assigned them to the various scenes i have set up. A single socket setup has no issues, but as soon as you add more from around the house to come on/off at the same time for example, it seems to just give up trying to execute that scene.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, easy to use and great customer support
Set up to Apple Home was a breeze. I struggled to set it up in their app but customer service representative, Molly was very swift with support and rectified the issue for me. Product working well and I love that I can easily control it from my phone. Can easily add automation via Apple Home app so I can make the most of cheaper energy rates.
1.0 out of 5 stars Save you from frustration
Please avoid. They simply do not work. No matter what you do. I have even created a new Wi-Fi network under 2.5Ghz to support these but there is no way to get them connected. The setup process seems easy: you install the Meross app, create or log in to your account, then scan the QR code to get them connected to Apple Home and that’s it. Well, not really. When Apple Home setup finishes and you think you’re all set, the headache starts: the Meross app shows an error message advising the plug is fully setup with Apple Home, but failed to be added to the Meross network, which means it will not work. Then an option to add it manually appears and guess what: the plug needs to be reset and the therefore the connection with Apple Home, which was successful, is lost and has to be redone. You’re back to square one and in an endless loop.I was happy to let them connected to Apple Home only, but then, once the setup gets stuck connecting the plug into their own app, the pug reboots and… Apple Home is unable to connect to it anymore. The problem is that any other device, such as Alexa or Google, can only find the plug once it’s connected to Meross app and that’s the only way.2hours later, a new Wi-Fi network setup, 2 iPhones used, lots of rebooting and reinstalling I’ve decided to return these. It’s an unnecessary headache for something that should be plug and play.I own a smart plug from Meross already and I remembered how difficult it was to setup when I first got it. I hope it never loses its configuration, because once it does, it’ll go the bin straightaway.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great little
Great little product does exactly what it says and works with Siri and google home.
3.0 out of 5 stars Hard set up.
These are very good and work with Apple home. However once there is a power cut they are very hard to sync again. The set up is not easy once disconnected.
Works great.
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Good reach, no problems at all.
