Great power & performance and as it's plugged in, no need to worry about battery life. Long enough cable as well to do the whole garden!

Impressive strimmer, I thought from other reviews that I'd have trouble with flimsy wire but I was pleased it was quite strong and did the job. Easy to use ( I did have to find a YouTube video to put it together, as the instructions were missing ,otherwise it would have been a 5 star ) not too heavy either

Ok sooooo, keep in mind I have NEVER cut grass be it a lawnmower or strimmer before in my life. It came today, took 5 minutes for me to assemble (I’m bad with things like that). Took me a second to figure out also how to actually turn it on 😂😂😂. My little garden was an absolute mess having recently moved in. What I didn’t do, was tighten the line enough so it did catch and I had to untangle it and redo the line spool tightly. I caught the line a 5 times (my own fault being a newbie) but after about 1 hour (20/30m of that was me redoing the line and trying to catch my cat in heat to bring her back indoors!!!) I’ve managed to tidy my little garden significantly! Would highly recommend it’s comfortable to use, easy to assemble, easy to adjust on your mistakes. For the price it’s a 10/10 for me. The cable could be a tad longer but I had a spare 10m cable extension. Ive also ordered a pack of 6 spare line spools at like £10 from Bolo also for next time round! ( Search Bosch strimmer lines, you’ll find it easily). Waiting for my rake to be delivered but I’ve attached photos of the before and after with my limited experience! Very happy customer!

Very easy to assemble with enclosed diagrams. Seems very robust though I do find the power cord a little on the short side but I have to use an extension anyway so it's not a big deal. The cutting guard for the distance to cut is very useful. If you register the strimmer an extra two years guarantee is provided

It is extremely poor quality especially for a brand that has built its reputation on quality1. It has to be put together . The Ming handleIs in 3 parts that connect to make one however the bottom part of the handle keeps coming disconnected during use which is a safety hazard.2. The plastic shield needs fitting with is tricky as the hole for the screw was off centre and it’s rather flimsy guard.3. The line feeds continually fails. I would say every 10 seconds of use one has to disconnect it, undo the line spool and try to free it before feeding through, putting it back together again,Plugging back into power for another 10 seconds or so of use.I have to strim a moderately sized area yesterday of just grass, my first time using it (and last !) it took me 4 hrs where as my previous strimmer took less than one and the finished job looks patchy !Safe to say this product is on its way to the council tip !

I didn't realise that not all strimmers can swivel to cut vertically or automatically release the cutting line, and I've only had basic cheap strimmers before. This is a VERY basic strimmer and yes, it strims grass, but I wish I'd read the description better. I'd say the description is somewhat misleading.. With no vertical cut, I'd not say it is ideal for garden edging. (where grass meets patio slabs) Semi auto spool.. nope. it says the spool unwinds when you press the trigger, but also tells you to not press the trigger frequently... and that line wears down very frequently. To release the line you have to turn the strimmer upside down and keep pressing a button to release a few mm at a time. If you're hitting anything hard like a stone, or wood, you'll spend a lot of time with it upside down. Just make sure someone doesn't come along and press the trigger while you're doing this! (or make sure you unplug it each time you need to do it which is a nuisance) My other strimmers were great for smacking the grass and weeds out of the gaps between patio slabs, but don't expect this one to be able to do that with it's weak line.But if you just want to trim a small area of grass and will be trimming against flower borders rather than hard edges, then this is probably great for that task. I expect it would also tackle leafy weeds well, but would struggle against harder stems like brambles.

I don't have bushes or anything woody just grass and leaves and I wanted to make it smaller to put into the composter and it worked.

The product is heavy to keep carrying in the hand while trimming … the trimmer wire stops working every two minutes and you have to keep pulling it manually to restart the cutting! Very tiring and a big hassle.
