Great value for money, nice size and excellent quality, yet to play and learn but always been more a collector of Pokémon but now have it as you never know when you might want to play your first battle haha

Fantastic game for kids to understand how to play Pokémon card game. I bought the game for my 6 year old son who had started getting into collecting Pokémon cards - he loved it so much I bought the same for his 2 best friends for their 7th birthdays and they loved it too.The set comes with a playing board with spaces for the playing cards and prompts to help you remember what to do in each players turn, a game coin, and battle hit point markers. There are 3 card sets - Pikachu, Cinderace and Evee. When you first start playing there is a guide which takes you through the first few rounds - this is brilliant for quickly getting to grips with how to play. The game is simplified enough that it’s not too complicated for kids, but complex enough that you do have to learn to be strategic. If my son carries on playing we will add booster packs and start to add on more complex game play like Pokémon weakness and resistances.

This is a lovely little set and well presented. It would definitely easily get you started in playing this game. My son and I play it a few times a week. He’s nearly 8 and arguably it’s educational because he has to read and understand rules and add and subtract.It has 3 decks of 60 cards: a Pikachu deck, a Cinderace deck (never heard of him before but he’s firey) and an Eevee deck for advanced play.It has a lovely game board with all the right slots for the cards and hit point tokens and a coin for flipping. Good value for money I thought.It comes with an easy to use tutorial that works with the unshuffled Pikachu and Cinderace decks.If you buy booster packs or those other sets along the way you can mix in your own decks too to extend the lifespan and enjoyment.

This contains all the parts you need to start learning the mechanics and play moves for Pokemon TCG.The best bit is that the decks are super simple so that you can focus on the gameplay and strategy basics without having to dive straight into the far more mature mechanics unless you really want to. The play board is a brilliant too.I dropped a star on the review because the advanced Eevee deck have a cutting error from a manufacturing error, but its only on a few of the energy cards.

I bought this at Christmas for an eight year old and he’s become really invested in both Pokemon and the card game as a result. The guides were very useful and helped him get used to the game very quickly and he’s even started using other separately bought decks on the same board. Would recommend this to anyone who has kids who have an interest in Pokemon:

This is perfect for young or old who are just starting out playing. The playmat gives you step by step instructions of what to do each round, clear places to put your cards and the rule book is clear and has a starter game to go through with the cards already in the right order to introduce someone to the game. Excellent value, comes with a few decks too

The media could not be loaded. I used to play Pokemon TCG and Yu-Gi-Oh! card game back when I was primary school.Then recently I downloaded the Pokemon TCG pocket mobile game. It sparks my fire to play Pokemon again!So I bought this Pokemon TCG Academy, to relearn the basics and also get my wife and family to play with me. Reduce screen time, increase bonding time!Delivery was quite fast, the product also came in perfect condition. Everything are in the box as described. Super excited to start playing!
Nice beginner starter kit to learn the game
Perfect as described and top quality. The decks are absolutely helping to learn the game properly and can be expanded by buying further pre built deck. Totally recommended for kids and adults too who want dive into pokémon world.

Mon fils adore ce jeu de plateau. Il est difficile à comprendre au début lorsque l’on est pas familier avec l’univers des Pokémon. Il m’a fallu du temps avant de savoir jouer.Le jeu possède de nombreuses subtilités qu’un enfant de 6 ans (âge recommandé sur la boîte) ne peut pas saisir.Idéalement il faut aussi savoir lire afin de pouvoir organiser ses combats / ses attaques.Les différents decks disponibles à l’achat (ou à construire) du JCC modifient le jeu à chaque fois.
