I used them to trail a pothos around a bookshelf. They mostly worked well, I think a stubborn stem has slowly pulled them off the surface before, so they come unstuck sometimes but 8 out of 10 will stick just fine. Only a shame that when you want to remove them, the adhesive is no longer usable so end up with more clips than tape.

The glue is not very sticky, so I hope the paint won’t peel when taken off. I’ve tried them on bricks and plastered walls and they stayed there for a few months already, without falling. Would definitely buy again.

Pothos stems fit through just perfect and the colour blends in well enough that I can't even really see the clips unless I look for them.

Clips are really good. The foam adhesive is rubbish though, it sticks well to walls etc but it doesn’t stick well to the back of the clip - so the clips peel off leaving the adhesive behind. Switching to double sided gorilla tape and that should work better.
