Works, we can now tighten those toilet bolts!
This is the first tool that we have been able to actually tighten the plastic toilet seat bolts.The wrench part actually grabs the nut from underneath, but your hand cannot wrap around the tool, at least not in our case, because of the shape of the toilet means that to touched the tool, leaving no room fir your hand, so I used a pair of pliers that have no teeth to grab the tool (ask your tool supplier about smooth face pliers) and turn it which is slightly clumsy but works.The plastic screwdriver that is included is far too small (it only engages approximately one third of the slot in the top of the bolt so it does bot have a good grip but it barely works.Together they do work, the bushings do remove some of the slop from the bolts (those plastic bolts are generic and so they are very slim so they can fit all toilets but they are so slim that they allow the seat to move fro side to side while you sit on the seat which I disconcerting, these bushings fill in for a lot of. that gap but to all of it.We do like that the final result is that the seat is now tighter than before, it doesn't slide sideway easily like before, although if the bushings were taller and a bit wider I think that they would work better but this kit works well enough even if it is not perfect.
Great product, just use your own screwdriver.
Like other reviews, the plastic screw driver is useless. Everything else works great! Storage is great too, it fits all back together.
Just what I needed
For years I have had a wobbly toilet seat. At first I thought the seat was busted so bought a new one but had the same problem. When I finally looked at the under side of where the bolt and “nut” met I could see that some material had broken offX making the nut was unable to geip as it expanded.Enter the toilet tightener. I randomly thought to look for a solution and found this product. I just removed the toilet seat nut and bolted stuck one of the toilet tightener rings into the underside of the hole, and put the nut and bolt back in.Back to normal, no wobble! I wish I had thought to look for this years ago.
Worth the money but only for the washers
This kit worked well and the washers are holding up after a couple of months but to call the other items “tools” it’s an outrageous claim. Just use the hand tools you have at home. This screwdriver is cheap soft plastic.
Broke after the first usage
The red plastic "screwdriver" tip broke/deformed right after the first usage and not longer usable. I want my money back.The grey screw holder is useful. I have no idea and there is no explanation for the little silicon white cylinders.
