Value for money, not the easiest thing to fit, and if you don't have a sharp chisel don’t waste your money, or buy some chisels!!!

Reasonably easy substition for stock RV room door latches/
The background: Our RV had 6" sliding locks on our bedroom and bathroom doors to keep them from slamming back and forth while we were driving. They had a lever that would get jammed in the down (locked) position that needed to be pried up in order to release them. In addition, their mounting screws were at an angle, which caused nicks in the door frames when they were closed, and one of the two screws on each were under the door, which required removing the hanging doors in order to remove the old latches. The most difficult part was removing the doors.The install: These new bolt latch latches are the ones you are familiar with that lock one side of commercial double doors. Their screws both install on the face on the lock, so these could be very easily replaced if ever needed without removing the hanging doors again (a chore). While their fitment required some minor modifications to their old slots inside the doors, that was relatively easy. Tools needed: hammer, sharp chisel 1/2" (to modify the slot in the door), longer screws, electric drill (and drill bits), longer screws than provided and wrench to loosen the hanging door mechanisms. Some mechanical and woodworking skills are recommended.
