High quality CD player.
This is a great CD player. We have it playing about 12 hours a day and have never had the slightest problem with it. The sound is impressive, controls are easy to operate, and the price was right..
Perfect for my needs
Needed a CD player for an old collection of music which isn't all available through streaming services. "Boom box" variety of players were never very satisfactory, but this shelf unit provides decent sound and great convenience. We like the large dials and basic controls. Minor issues during set up included: speakers seemed not to work because the wire attached to the speakers was jammed in too far so the connector was actually gripping the plastic wire cover. This was easily fixed once we figured it out. Also had trouble setting the clock until we figured out that the unit has to be turned off for the clock setting feature to work. FM radio does not get great reception in our house, but we stream our radio stations through another device anyway. I definitely recommend this unit for anyone who just needs a simple CD player.
constantly skips
I bought one of these about two years ago and the problem was I bought it on sale and never took it out of the box for 6 months. CD's that play perfect on other cd players do nothing but skip on this thing. I tried cleaning disc's and still no luck. I do not recommend this to anyone since it seems to be a piece of junk. Also the radio strength is terrible.
Some defects but good for the price
The first unit I received was returned because the left VU meter was dead and the clock could not be reset according to the manual. The second unit was shipped by Bolo immediately. Everything worked fine except the clock--still no reset. But there is a way to set the clock accurately. This procedure can only be done one time per day! Wait until a minute before midnight. When the clock strikes twelve unplug the unit and plug it back in and turn it on. The clock is set and will function perfectly until the next power failure or unplugging. Many thanks to our eastern friends who seem to have no concern for quality control.
