Fabric ladders replace the standard cord lift ladders and cover the routed holes in each faux wood blind slat. THE VENETIAN STYLE of our faux wood blinds mean that you can easily control how much light gets into your home. Using the cords, you can tilt the horizontal slats so that they’re partly open and let light filter through, you can close them completely, or raise/lower the whole blind. VERSATILE AND GREAT VALUE, our UPVC faux wood blinds are waterproof and easy-to-clean, making them the ideal option for bathrooms and kitchens, or any other room in the house. Bathrooms and kitchen sink windows can have additional moisture in the air and because of this we don’t recommend you put a real wood venetian blind in your bathroom as the wood will begin to absorb the moisture and warp. Areas that have high levels of moisture or humidity would be better suited to the non-porous faux wooden blinds as they are resistant to warping. Faux wood blinds will be a lot more forgiving when it comes to sharp changes in temperature, high levels of moisture and water marks from sink splashes. Child safety is a key concern when it comes to picking a blind, and understandably, the fundamental parts of a venetian blind could lend themselves to child safety issues, if installed incorrectly. This was a bit of an impulse buy and I was a bit worried about getting these in my home office, but overall it was pretty straightforward, I did need to shorten a little but it wasn’t too tricky to do. You might need a second pair of hands as they were quite heavy, but they look great up and much more expensive and totally transformed the space.

Blind was the perfect size and looks great. They're always a pain to install as it typically means drilling into a steel/concrete lintel above the window. which is never plain sailing.After measuring up, and drilling holes for the left, right and centre brackets, and screwed them in, the blind slotted in perfectly. The facia piece was slightly longer than the blind itself so needed a few millimetres removed so it could fit, but as it's plastic, my hacksaw and stanley (to tidy the cut) made pretty quick work of this.I adjusted the stop discs on the cables, then shortened the pull cords a little, and the job was finished.Looks great, and is much better than the metal blind it replaced.
