Fantastic lens for the price. Paired up with my R7 I get an effective full frame focal range of 160-640mm. It is relatively light weight and compact, making it easy to carry whenever I take the camera out. My RF 100-500L is of course a better lens but it is also a fair bit bigger and I don't always want to carry that with me.Auto focus performance is really good, I have not had any issues with it myself and the same goes for the IS. IS works well enough that I can hand hold videos with the lens extended fully to 400mm and shoot at slower shutter speeds with acceptable results.

dont be put off by the lower price point, this is an amazing lens and half the size of the ones i've seen other people use, AND i get better images and optical zoom than they do! i am so pleased i got this over the £1200 or more expensive lenses, ALSO its very light weight compared to the larger lenses that offer the "same" optical zoom, if you are on the edge of buying it, just buy it, i wont buy another lens for my camera with a larger zoom, dont need it, also because its smaller and lightweight its far far easier to get pictures of moving targets and stay on target easier without swinging a huuuge scope around and smacking someone in the grille! (happened to me a few times with over zealous people) honestly worth the money!

I’m an amateur photographer who just started a few months ago and took this lens out for my first outing to shoot a Premier League football match. Combined with an R8 this lens delivered and more. As long as there is decent light, this lens is golden. Amazing value for money. Amazing fast autofocus and sharp pictures.

I use this with my EOS R50 for long walks and wildlife photos. It's not too long or heavy to carry while out walking and the lens works perfectly with the fast autofocus tracking on the R50. These photos were taken from a distance on full zoom.

I’ve had this lens for about a week now and have fitted it to my Canon EOS R10, APS-C mirrorless camera. First impression is very good and I can zoom into distant subjects easily, without losing any noticeable picture quality, compared to a smaller lens. There are, of course trade-offs with the aperture size, but in good light, this product should serve me very well. Even though this is a compact lightweight lens, it still seems pretty big and heavy, but this is a little unfair, as I’m comparing it to a smaller lens, which would naturally be lighter and less bulky. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s basically the best lens I have ever had.I fully recommend that you read one of the professional in-depth reviews that are available online, to get a proper assessment of this product. They are very detailed, well researched, and sing the praises of the product well.

The reach on this lens and its relatively small and lightweight build mean it’s permanently in my camera bag when I go out. I use it on the original Canon R and it’s great but would imagine it’s even better on the newer Mirrorless models. What’s surprised me is that I’m starting to use it a lot more for landscapes where you can zoom in and pick out details especially when up hills / mountains. The aperture is pretty slow so in low light when you need to freeze the action you need high ISO and the autofocus on my camera isn’t the quickest but the image quality is great and that’s the compromise you make for the size / price. Highly recommended.

It's not a typical wildlife lens that's for sure, but it's a nice lens to have on camera when walking around a local park where animals are more used to people around. It's fantastic for all this landscape photography when you need extra focal length. It's lightweight and compact, doesn't draw too much of attention. It's fun lens to have and I'm using it much more often than I thought I will.I find IS and AF working nice, it's not as good as L series glass (even EF adapted to RF body) and I wish it was brighter but for the money it costs and how comapct it is - I never regretted this purchase.Attached images are straight from camera jpgs, RF 100-400 f/5.6-8 on R6.

He leído algunos comentarios quejándose de poca luminosidad cuando hay poca luz, no estoy de acuerdo, pongo unas fotos hechas al atardecer a las 21,30 horas y en mi opinión salieron bastante bien y sin trípode y con enfoque manual.Considero que es un buen objetivo y muy polivalente.

In Verbindung mit der Canon R10, ist das Teil richtig mächtig.Eine detaillierte Beschreibung sprengt hier alles. Aber es gibt mehrere gute YouTube Videos dazu, die ich nur bestätigen kann. Der Preis ist nicht ohne (580€) und man kann das Objektiv auch nicht für jede Gelegenheit nutzen. Der 100mm Mindeszoom macht das unmöglich. Also immer mind. 2 Objektive mit haben. Aber dann ist man für jede Situation bereit und bekommt fantastische Ergebnisse.

Ürünü Bolo satıcısından 28.599 TL'ye satın aldım. Fiyatı uygundu ve taksit imkanında faiz yoktu. Ürüne gelecek olursam, Canon EOS R50 ile kullanıyorum ve kamera crop sensörlü olduğu için bu lens, bu kamerada 160-640mm olarak çalışıyor. Bu fiyata bu mesafede çekim yapabilen ve rakiplerine göre çok çok daha hafif olması onu iyi bir ürün yapıyor. Tek negatif yönü, 400mm'de f8.0 olarak çalışması lakin diğer artılarını göz önünde bulundurunca fotoğraf çekmek için bol ışığınız ve çektiğiniz objenin/kuşun arka planı da sizden epey bir uzaksa bunu hissetmeyebilirsiniz. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.

Really impressed with this lens. I am simplifying my camera bag coming from the EF 100-400 mkii, and the light weight and ease of use are unmatched by this lens. So light and impressively sharp. Most of all totally acceptable video hand held even at 400mm. Crazy!!The f8 is what it is, but on the new cameras with excellent iso/noise and the ibis and lens IS, the 100-400 is now a carry-around lens for me.
