Not sturdy !

They are nice stools, but very bad quality. We bought them for $286 each and now I regret it. I see that they are cheaper now, but still they are not worth it.My husband who is less than 200 lbs, sat down in one of the stools and fell through it. We couldn’t return them because he set them up after a month that we got them. This never happened with the previous stools we got at IKEA. We had the IKEA ones for more than 5 years. We still keep them in the garage and feel more sturdy than these ones.Now he put this on the stool leg. I don’t like how it looks, but otherwise they are loose.I learned the lesson, if you only have a month of return policy, set them up before the warranty expires.

Chair is comfy but the color is brushed and almost metallic looking which looks cheap to me.

Missing minor assembly pieces

We ordered this swivel stool in the hopes of replacing our old ones, but after receiving this one, I don't know if we'll purchase a second one. This swivel stool arrived to us in good condition, not great. It is packaged in the shape of the chair back, so you will know right away what it is when you receive it. Because it is shipped in this awkward chair back shaped cardboard, instead of a regular square box, it is a little difficult to move around and carry, as it is also heavy. I'm guessing the delivery person also had a hard time handling it because it came with a hand sized hole in the cardboard. I checked the chair back for damage when I opened it, and the plastic it came in was untouched, so it wasn't a big deal for me. Anyway, once I unpackaged and took everything out, I was able to see what we were working with. Assembly for this stool is not difficult, in my opinion. It took less than 30 minutes. You are just assembling big parts and screwing things in, not constructing the entire thing. It comes with paper print directions, as well as illustrations. Although it instructs you not to use a power tool, we ended up using one once we realized it was missing one of the main screws to attach the base of the legs to the bottom of the chair. We made it work, but it is unfortunate that an important part of putting this stool together was missing. Admittedly, we did not try to contact customer service so I can't say if maybe that would have helped or not. I feel that at this price point and the fact that this one stool costs almost as much as a table; there should not be any missing pieces. That being said, the stool is beautiful. The chair back is what really makes this swivel stool stand out from the rest. The rivets going along the top and sides look elegant and upscale. The upholstery is perfectly done, and so far the cushion has not shown any sign of wear on it- no indentations. The gray has a beautiful pearlescent finish, that feels modern but not excessively sparkly. It isn't a very light gray, more of a gunmetal tone in my opinion. The legs on the stool have small rubber protectors at the bottoms to protect your floor from scratches or skids. It is indeed a very nice swivel stool with a large chair back. I just don't know that I can justify risking getting another stool at this price point, only for it to be missing a piece again and possibly having to go through customer service. I'm still debating on it, but because the stool is otherwise very well made, I decided to give it three stars.
