I have used Phillips Sonicare brushes for many years. They usually last two or three years then get very noisy as whatever bearing wear out. I do not have a problem with that as they all have twice daily use and seem to clean my teeth well. No hesitation in buying this one and so far continues to work well. App for me is a bit of a gimmick but no problem as you do not have to brush with it.

Purchased to replace an aging Sonicare which had served me well for many years but had become noisy, unfortunately this is nowhere near what I would have expected for such a price. Battery life is absolutely shocking lasting 2 days at most, yes that’s 4 toothbrushings before it needs charging. No warning given either just fails to turn on the next time! My previous Sonicare lasted weeks before needing a recharge and gave a flashing amber battery symbol and vibration alert of needing to be charged. I’ve tried disconnecting from Bluetooth app to see if that improved battery life but sadly made no difference. App is pointless as it’s not live and merely guides you so if you are not brushing the highlighted part it fails to recognise where the brush is in your mouth and sometimes even when brushing the highlighted area fails to record it! Overall very unimpressed and will be returning!

I didn't realise how I was brushing my teeth ineffectively until I started using the provided app.Not only does it give you a timer but it ensures that you are using the correct pressure and clean your entire mouth properly, reviewing bits that you missed. It also adds the options for a tongue clean and mouthwash rinse.It does take a while to let the brush do the cleaning and just hold the brush over the teeth without reverting to stereotypical toothbrushing hand movements. I had to retrain my brain!The battery lasts a long time and the brush lets you know when it needs a recharge.The replacement heads are quite expensive but this is because they have they Wifi sensors in them to give the feedback to the app.I found after a while I stopped using the app as I had remembered how to clean my teeth and couldn't be bothered with the extra fussing.Love this toothbrush and I personally feel and prefer the sonic cleaning from this brush over the rotary cleaning of an OralB.

Very pleased with this toothbrush works well especially in conjunction with the app on your phone shows you what part of your mouth you have brushed what you have missed.

This is the 3rd Sonicare I have purchased, of the previous two, one failed for a battery (after warranty period), the other failed after excessive vibration from the handle and very loose drive spindle (also out of warranty), surprise surprise, my current one (this purchase) also failed with the excessive vibration, fortunately under warranty, however the actual customer service from Sony has been awful. I returned the item over 2 weeks ago and still have not received my replacement even though they said it has been dispatched. The tracking information is in Polished and translated seems to be telling me they have received the item a good few days ago, not yet out for delivery....Arrgggggg!
