Brought this so I could video my mum at any time and same for her too. Sound quality is very good and picture very good and easy to use. Price was very good for the size. Does all other things as well with the app. Hold lots of information. All settings are easy. Very happy

Compact. You can view ring door bell on it, I have it in my bedroom, I listen to podcasts, look at photos on it, listen to the radio, and I’ve started watching films on it (whilst the screen is a bit small. Sound quality is great. Performance isnt amazing however, it wasn’t too easy to setup due to a technical issue out the box - my son managed to fix this issue. Great deal that my son got for me on Black Friday, I’m very happy.

I had this in my basket for ages before I brought. I thought about this decision for ages. I have Sonos speakers and wanted something that would be easier for the whole house. I was very dubious but went ahead with the purchase and I wish I didn't. I send it back the same day. Firstly the size was mega tiny great if you like that and you want hidden but for me that was the first thing I didn't like but give it time as long as it worked I'm sure I could get used to it. The set up was super easy I agree with all other reviews so easy to set. For me it all went down ti the sound and the sound was awful. So tinny the quality was not at all what I was hoping. The command was all over the place and was unable to play half the music we wanted to listen unless we paid. Sent it back sticking with my SONOS

First what I was looking so I looked for a great sound, it’s a match for me, easy set up, the colour of the Alexa is black. The value of money is worth it!! I’m so happy to watch films, listen of music and lots of more things you can do enjoy.

I bought two of these when these were on offer for "Buy one get one free".For the first year or so, they were fine and were a good addition to my other Alexa devices.However, it has become abundantly clear to me that the cooling they use for the chip inside of this is woefully inadequette (Either that or the chip itself is terrible). A lot of the time it fails to respond, or takes multiple attempts. It also regualarly gets errors and bugs on the screen itself such as one clock overlaying another clock, and has already developed a line of dead pixels along the side. ON BOTH UNITS.The touchscreen is also very slow and unresponsive, sometimes its almost as if my kindle that uses an eink display (with a low refresh rate, as designed) and low power processor (for battery longevity) is more responsive a lot of the time.Im also not really sure it really served the purpose i wanted it to. When i bought it, i assumed at the very least that i would be able to watch some small videos on it, such as an actual video of the news for my flash briefings at the very least. That does not happen despite it having been mentioned at the time that that is possible.This thing will also regularly vomit adverts at you on the screen, suggesting what to buy from Bolo or other irrelevant things to me that i do not care for.Would not reccomend, especially not for the price.

The media could not be loaded. So heres the problem I replaced the first gen show 5 I had as the poor quality screen had burned in the time, via the trade in program Bolo do. Sweet.Got this current gen show 5 and frankly I'm not impressed. If I could have a new first gen show 5 over this one, if take the old model every time. So what's the problem? It's really slow to do anything. Watch the video, say its name and the echo dot next door instantly plays the wake tone, while this waits another second before it finally responds. That's of course only when it actually responds, which has a probability of about 50/50. The touch screen might as well be a sheet of glass because to does nothing any time soon. Try opening silk to watch YouTube, some times it will, sometimes it won't. But by far the most frustrating behaviour is occasionally the screen goes blank and stops doing what you were in the middle of.Now I like alexa devices, most of my lights and a few devices are all smart so now get voice control. The mixture of dots, second gen echos and a spot all work really well. But this is just frustrating. It sits by my bed supposingly as a clock, but most of the time it's showing a load of ads and nonsense. I wish this was like a smart alarm clock, it's just not apparently capable of that. My other complaint is I use a pair of bookshelf speakers and a neat little Bluetooth amp. On the old show it held its connection, this one drops the connection occasionally. When hooked up it sounds great, but it's often dropped connection.
