For example - with 200 lbs. added to the Leverarms, you would minus 20% for the Leverarm weight distribution (160 lbs.) plus the weight of the arms (20lbs.). Therefore, 200 lbs. of weight would equate to a total 180 lbs. of perceived weight lifted.
  • Max Weight Capacity: 500 lbs (250 lbs each side) with up to a 200 lbs. user on bench. (over 200 lbs will need to subtract weight from max weight capacity of arms)

    The machine overall is very smooth once you get it set up to perform your exercises. Problem is this rubber bumper on the bottom rail. It makes adjusting bench positions very problematic (changing angle of back rest). Very difficult to set up for decline presses, especially. Except for this I’d have given it a 5 star rating — it almost deserves no more than 3. Directions were easy to follow — easy to put it all together — also purchased the preacher curl attachment. Don’t remember seeing this bench design with a rubber bumper on the bottom rail in any of the photos online — has this model been updated recently? Other photos show a different mechanism to adjust the bench on the bottom rail. Powertech really needs to fix this — may affect whether I keep the thing. Purchased it to augment my Smith Machine and other equipment.

    This machine is definitely sturdy, but has some flaws. The bench doesn’t sit in the middle of the leveraged arms. The positioning of the arms is kind of weird when you incline the bench 20°. The bench should slide more to the front. The paint quality is not that good. The bench is comfortable to lay on. The angle for the shoulder press is pretty off and I would recommend to sit facing the bench when doing shoulder presses. It’s a decent machine but I had high hopes. Not sure if I am going to buy any other product from this company.
