(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Easy to use, has good functionality when riding, fits well in my carbon shark spartan helmet. Was too tight when fitted to my agv k5s tho but i think the issue was that helmet is just smaller.Sound quality is good, how the speakers are fitted in your helmet makes a big difference here’s.All in great value for money, good app, easy to pair, easy to use, love the convenience of how the unit comes on and off the mounting plate. Not hard to fit. Voice commands work well. Phone calls are clear and the person on the other end cant even notice I'm on my bike. As much as it’s not cheep, worth the extra for the quality and assurance of it being s respectful brand.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great
Great bit of kit. Only used a handful of times. Not connected to other headsets so can't comment on ease of use.Speakers are good quality and loud even in my windy helmet, easy to install. The app is a breeze to use and connects straight away. Nice compact size on the side of your helmet.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great comms device.
Very easy to set up and use, excellent battery life, great sound quality. Not cheap but well worth the money. Loving the voice activation!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Superb bit of kit BUT you need to read about the speakers
Ive had quite a few Cardo units for my helmets and find them to be the number 1 leader for helmet headsets. Yes they are expensive but at the end of the day you get the great technology over your other website sellers. Now, you need to follow this regarding the speakers. Many helmets now have speaker sections in the helmets to velcro the speakers into. Not all of us have the same ears and the speaker moulds do NOT fit perfectly for our ears. If your soekers seem muffled or not very loud then your speakers are NOT fitted correctly. Take your speakers out, put them to your ears and if they are louder then your speakers need to be adjusted in your helmet, even just a fraction out and the voulme will be lower, dont just fit the soeakers in the helmet speaker holder, use one of the spacers provided and move the speaker towards the front and down a few mills, this will be a lot better for you.Anyway, onto the unit, very simialr to the other units from cardo but this is a lot better for 1 - 1 comms with another rider, group chats are a breeze to set up. Another tip is if you are riding out of bluetooth range, then most of us all now have unlimited calls from your mobiles, simply make a phone call to the other rider and call over the mobile network !! Simple but very effective. For group chats out of bluetooth range then use WA for a group chat. I have had chats with my brother on his way home as we split in different directions and can still communicate 25 miles apart as we use a mobile call to each other. I would not get any other headset other than Cardo, the ones sold using the famous F1 driver are sadly over rated and no where near as good as Cardo !!
4.0 out of 5 stars Great sound quality
After researching for several weeks the Cardo Edge consistently emerged as the best coms unit for bikers. Fitting it was realitively easy, just need to take your time. There are some helpful youtube videos that i watched prior to fitting my unit to my full face helmet. The sound quality is great although i have only as yet tried it at home. The voice controls work well switching from taking calls to radio to music. My only gripe up to now is that after purchasing and fitting the unit i found it £50 cheaper on a couple of other websites.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cardo get it right - for a price
Purchased to replace a 4 year old Packtalk Bold because it had sustained some damage. It would appear the Cards did the right thing with the Edge - they looked at (just about) everything that was wrong with the Bold, and improved it with the Edge:Micro USB -> USB CFiddly helmet mount -> M A G N E T SDesktop PC required for updates -> App updates firmwareThe sound is also improved, although the 40mm JBL speakers now provided were available with the Bold later in its life. It connects first time to my iPhone and seems to pick up the voice assistant commands 'better', although that could be my imagination.About the only thing that needed improvement that didn't get sorted is the 2.5mm barrel jack and socket to connect the speakers to the unit. This is an unnecessarily bulky connector to use and is a real pain to find a convenient location to stash in a helmet. It's a one and done problem though, at least until you need to take the lining out to clean it!Cardo have also introduced custom mounts to allow you to easily mount the Edge on Shoei helmets designed for a custom Senna unit. It's £20 for a piece of plastic that uses double-sided tape when it should us plastic clips, but the finished look is brilliant.Overall, I'd say the Edge comfortably retains Cardo's position at the top of the motorbike communications tree. It kind of should do though, given the price!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great pieve of kit
After doing countless hours of research i choose the cardo 😍 managed to get it during a prime deal so saved a good bit of money tooA little patients installing and getting used to the voice commands but one you get the hang of it your awayI havent tried any other headsets so i cannot compare but as for using this im very satisfied
Jest OK,
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } po przejściu z Cardo Bold na pewno różnica w głośności, fajnie że USB-C natomiast jeśli kotś potrzebuję czegoś znacznie lepszego niż Bold to sugeruję iść w pro
10/10
Älskar min cardo!
fantastico
Provengo da un midland e non posso che confermare l’immenso salto qualitativo che ho riscontrato nel cardo.Sotto ogni punto di vista.Qualitativamente ottima fattura, semplice da usare a differenza del midland, e musicalmente parlando di un altro livello.Per me l’aspetto musica era prioritario e finalmente mi ritengo soddisfatto.
Worth the extra $$$
Good quality intercom/bluetooth, used solo so far with no issues. Well presented kit, all necessary hardware with alternative mounting and microphone options supplied. Installation into Airoh Commander 2 was relatively straightforward and comparable to most helmets. I had a minor issue routing the speaker plug through the Airoh accessory port as plug is larger than the hole, skimmed a mm of plastic from the plug rather than enlarging the helmet hole (and possibly damaging the helmet by introducing a weak spot). I used the Boom mic as the sticker didn't want to adhere to my chin guard, I used a staple to secure it. Used the sticker mount, the mount is flexible to a degree and it allowed for the helmet curve/crease variations. The base slid onto the base well and it looks and feels solid.iOS app connected and updated well to the unit, it is intuitive enough for basic use. Advanced connectivity to other devices is often a learning process, but the app helps dampen the curve a little. I still haven't fully utilised the cardo but am happy that there is plenty of information around on youtube etc to assist.Aside. I ordered from the UK supplier and was shipped express to Australia and landed on my doorstep in under 4days. That is simply amazing!
Product van topkwaliteit / 5 star quality product
The media could not be loaded. I bought the Cardo Packtalk Edge shortly after choosing between the Cardo and Sena brands. The Edge's predecessor, the Bold, is already 4 years old so the new Edge should last me at least 4 to 5 years. The product feels very solid, pairing it to my smartphone and satnav (Tomtom Rider 550(SE) ) is so easy that I did the pairing a 2nd time because I thought that I missed something and/or skipped a step in the pairing process, it was THAT easy. The fact that the Edge doesn't have an antenna is part of the reason it's really compact. The magnet-clip is a nice addition and gives you that extra sense of security: never again do you have to double check if the Packtalk is properly placed onto your helmet.
