There’s also turbo steam for when you need a powerful blast for a stubborn crease.The first time I tried this and played around with the settings quite a bit, I did have a strange event and I couldn’t reduce the steam down from the highest level 3. I did phone Breville customer services who were really good. They took details and said they would look into this and call me back. They did call me back but by then, my steamer was working perfectly. I’m not sure what caused the initial glitch (it may have been something I was doing wrong) but it’s all good now and everything works perfectly as it should. Breville advised me if it happens again, to give them a call to sort it out.I’m really happy with my steamer.So far, I’ve used it on 2 dresses, an occasion jacket and a heavy cotton ticking roman blind that I’d made which needed smoothing out. I’ve also got rid of tumble dryer wrinkles on freshly laundered bedding. After putting pillows inside freshly laundered pillow cases, it’s so quick and easy to steam them smooth. I even blasted a wedding fascinator, to freshen it up. Steamers kill germs and also remove dust too, so they do more than just remove creases.There are attachment heads included for different types of fabric. One collects bobbles, one has a smoothing rubber blade and a removable brush, one works as a shield for delicate fabrics (to cover the non stick metal steamer head) which I assume is for fine, delicate fabrics such as nylon tulle etc. You can also add your own fragrance to a small applicator clip so that your clothes can be perfumed.Not only am I extremely happy with this steamer, I’m also pleased with Breville customer service, as it’s reassuring to know that if I encounter any problems, they are very helpful and keep their word to get back to you.I detest ironing so will be using this steamer from now on as it’s much easier and less hassle than ironing.With the high power of this steamer, I’m wondering if it’s possible to press a crease if you lay the item on an ironing board or a heat protected table. I will have to try this as this steamer works when used horizontally or vertically.I highly recommend this steamer so in a nutshell: buy it!NB: it’s recommended that you use distilled water to avoid limescale build up in steamers, if you live in a hard water region. I’ve read lots of reviews on other steamers (before I decided to buy this one) where people are complaining about “white bits” coming out of their steamer. They don’t seem to be aware that it’s minerals from using hard tap water. This Breville steamer does have a self clean setting whereby it blasts steam through its system in order to keep itself clean and remove any scale buildup. The best way to keep your steamer in tip top condition and prevent mineral marks on your fabric is therefore to use distilled water and also use the self clean setting periodically.

Some years ago I tried a cheap steamer and it was terrible, so I hesitated before pressing the purchase button with this item. However my hatred of ironing won the day and I'm glad it did as this steamer works perfectly. I bought 2 hoodies from Bolo and they arrived very creased from packing, the steamer just made it all go away, even the hoods which I find a pain to iron.It comes with a functional but flimsy clothes stand which does the job, but is easily knocked over. It is useful but I doubt it is very durable.My 5 stars are for the steamer not the clothes hanger.

Side cracked after 1 year and 2 months of light use. Horrible design issues since day one - no heat protection around the handle, extremely top heavy, etc. - but the planned obsolescence is a dealbreaker.

Short story is this is great. Buy it! Long version below!So I bought a really nice coat, that typically when it arrived looked like it had been in its delivery bag for weeks. It was so wrinkled. I was disappointed and going to return said coat because it looked like a rag on, but then I decided I’d try and find a solution so I could see what the coat really looked like on before going straight for the return.Because of the material I didn’t want to iron it so I ordered this. It did the job perfectly! It has three heat settings so you can adjust it for the material. It heats up in under a minute and it has a burst of steam setting for tougher creases. Plenty of attachment's too that I haven’t even really looked at properly yet including something you can put your own scent in which is fun.Anyway I very nearly didn’t buy this because there’s loads of options and every review here has been gifted the product which always leaves me sceptical. I went for it in the end because 1. It was the most powerful one I could see listed, and I needed it for a fairly thick smart coat and 2. It was on offer.I’m really glad I went for this one in the end and can see myself getting lots of use out of it!And yes, I kept the coat. Turns out it looked really nice when it’s not as wrinkled as a shar-pei puppy.

I bought this steamer as it was higher power and a bigger water tank than other models (and therefore more expensive). However I’m really disappointed with the results of the items that I’ve steamed. It really doesn’t make much difference to some items. I’m not expecting it to be as good as a ironing with an iron / ironing board, but it still leaves clothes very wrinkled. I purchased this thinking it would be quicker and easier than traditional ironing especially for one-off items that need quickly going over before wearing them, however it takes longer and is much less effective. Don’t waste your money on this - buy a cheap compact iron and ironing board that hangs in your wardrobe instead.

Unfortunately it broke 2 weeks into our first use on holiday, untill then i was suitably impressed for the money! we bought this one for travel and although it cost by far less than our home Tefal it was good enough performance and a little lighter and more compact.i am sending it back and i am sure they will replace it. if the next one breaks i will add to this review.

I absolutely love it! Great for blazers, wool coats, curtains, bedding, shirts etc. Quick and fast results.
