Using only the best black tea leaves from Kenya and Ceylon, we've created a black tea with the same rich and malty flavour as a proper builder’s brew, but just without the caffeine. But 'how much caffeine is in decaf tea?' and 'how is decaf tea made?' we hear you ask. Our black tea leaves are decaffeinated using the CO2 method to naturally decaffeinate them, which leaves less than 2% of caffeine in these decaf tea leaves. This really is the best decaf black tea, and now you can enjoy the British favourite that is black tea at any time time of day... even before bed!
How to brew teapigs decaf black tea bags: pop a decaf tea bag in your favourite mug and brew with boiling water for 3-5 minutes (or longer for a stronger malty and refreshing flavour). These little temples of decaf tea leaves can be made your way, add milk and sugar to compliment that malty flavour and create a sweeter brew, or drink this decaf black tea simply by itself to enjoy the full range of flavours this black tea has to offer.
When to drink decaffeinated tea bags. It is definitely NOT tasteless, in my opinion. It definitely tastes different to fully caffeinated tea, but that is not only understandable but also logical.I've used a lot of "free from" products for various reasons and in my experience, the best versions don't try to replicate the taste of the original product perfectly, because It never really goes well and it's not entirely possible. Instead they focus on the taste and quality of their own products.This is what I feel Teapigs have done here. It makes a really nice cup of tea. It smells nice and tastes nice and while I brew it for a bit longer than I used to brew caffeinated tea, it's a small issue that I can easily overlook.It's hard to comment on the strength of the tea, because I don't think it's fair to compare it to caffeinated tea, which is what people are probably curious about. It is strong enough for it to taste nice, but still subtle.The teabags are a decent size too.

Very sad to say these are nothing like the normal everyday brew (which I love) - you have to double bag them to get anything near a good brew, and leave for 5 minutes. Disappointed. Too expensive to be using 2 at once.

Package arrived as just the tea box, shipping label on the front made it impossible to remove without damaging it, if you are buying as a gift make sure you double check what it's sent in.

This is by a MILE the best decaf tea I have tried (and I have tried just about everything you can get in a large supermarket). The flavour is exactly the same as the regular Teapigs English Breakfast, itself a delicious tea.I leave the teabags to infuse a bit longer than for regular, and also I wait about 2mn after having removed the teabag before drinking the tea. Really good decaf tea.

I’m afraid that, for me, these have been quite a disappointment. The selling points include how they taste and for me, they’re quite lacking in that respect. Perhaps the suggested delicacy is lost on me but considering the price, I have to say they are a let-down. I’ve tried them with filtered water and have let them brew for up to 5mins but still no luck.I should add that the area I live in has notoriously hard water but I do use a Brita filter jug with the appropriate filter for hard water
