(The alternative would be a really long unwieldy wire that keeps tripping you up, I prefer it at the length provided)-+-+-+-Overall, for the price, I expected a very cheap looking product that wouldn't last a year.I'm quietly impressed... Yes it's mostly plastic, yes the latch on the waste release will break one day, yes the dust collection chamber is small.But for the price?! It looks nicely designed and functions exactly as promised.-+-+ conclusion +-+-This is a great addition to your full-size hoover, or a handy mini hoover for keeping individual areas clean.I have low expectations for this products life (based on cost)Will update this review if it fails within the first years use.

Surprisingly good considering the price. I needed a burner hoover to get rid of some thick layer of ant powder in the basement, so that I will not damage my more expensive Henry. It has a small filter and I knew that it will get clogged in minutes so I cut a few pieces of round patches out of a kitchen sink wipe and used them one by one behind the small round filter to protect it and changed them every time I emptied the plastic container. I managed to do the job in about an hour, taking my time with no rush and no fuzz. It doesn't have the suction of Henry obviously but it does have enough suction to do a dirty job like I had to deal with. It will most certainly not be enough to suck dirt and dust out of carpets and stuff, but for a light duty machine it is very well made and reliable, it does not heat up insanely or anything like that. Just make sure you cover the filter and change the cover now and then so the suction power is not diminished by dirt buildup.

Love my new vacuum cleaner. Easy to store, light to use. Very long cable. Easy to empty (especially for my old hands!). Wish I'd bought one sooner.

For the price, this is an OK vacuum. I opted for the corded version because (a) it's cheaper and (b) it's more powerful. I have sockets all over the place and I believe that corded is more reliable, with less to go wrong.The suction seems good. I don't have any thick carpeting however, just thin office-type, hard-wearing carpet as well as some hard floor (tiling and lino).In an age where we are used to receiving a plethora of accessories with everything we buy, this vacuum comes with just two attachment possibilities - three, if you count the one that morphs into another. This is a bit disappointing but in fairness, I knew this and had bargained on buying an additional "universal accessories" pack with a few more head choices. In the end, I didn't have to do that because all the accessories from my old vacuum, fit on this one. Just bear in mind that you may feel the need for some accessories, because it comes with only a few basic ones. All in all, I'm happy with it but there are cons.The whole thing is top-heavy, unbalanced and cumbersome sometimes, to use. There is just a Velcro loop around the mains plug and cable, with which to wind it up. This hangs off, what is already a cumbersome machine to store. I may be wrong, but I can see the latch for the emptying lid breaking at some point in the future and of course, if/when that happens, the thing becomes a paperweight (planned obsolescence?).It's just fine for my small one-bed flat but if the place was any bigger, I think I'd want a better vacuum.I don't expect it to last more than a year or two but for the money that's no problem - I'll just buy another cheap vacuum.

Read reviews and decided to give this hoover a try - was a good pricealthough the hoover showed promise was very disappointed with its performancegreat looking , easy to assemble, easy to empty . lacking in power and after a few uses it just stopped picking up :(
