The waffles are *ready in just 6 minutes* and come out perfectly – *crispy on the outside* and *fluffy on the inside*, just how Belgian waffles should be. The deep plates create those classic, thick waffles that feel truly authentic.The build quality is top-notch, and you can tell it’s made to last. It heats evenly and consistently, so every batch turns out great. The first one I purchased, the green light didn't work, so I immediately made arrangements for a return. There were some issues with returning products to Bolo with the return method that I choose. So after contacting Bolo directly I spoke to John at customer services, who was very understanding and arranged for a replacement which came the next morning (today).I, of course was very happy with the smooth interface with John from the Bolo helpline, because I had already made my waffle batter, which I kept in the fridge and used today. Needless to say, it was delish, for my first attempt at Vegan Waffles. And I returned the faulty one using an alternative option. All in all, a quality and smooth product. Great waffle result. Awesome experience and the taste was Yum yum too. Easy to use, if you follow the instructions. I like the fact that it rotates, for an even heating, cooking presentation, and the appearance of the waffle looked as good, as it tasted. Not too dark, as it was my first attempt I wanted it to look, just as seen. It's an average size, product. And my waffles didn't stick, so it was real easy to get out with a spatula. It has a temperature gauge, so you can adjust accordingly too. I can definitely recommend for others to consider this Quest product, which comes with a removable drip tray. Mine was still clean, so I guess I made a good job of it, without any spillage.

**UPDATE A MONTH IN USED 3 - 4 TIMES A WEEKThe waffle iron is still going strong, the handle shows no sign of becoming loose or damaged. No cracks anywhere. Very impressed still. **We’ve had several cheapo waffle makers in the past that have the same action as this one (rotate the plates 180 degrees) and they have all fallen to pieces. The handles have all come apart.This one has a different handle, it’s a square handle which you rotate once the plates are closed.We’ve used this iron about a couple of dozen times or more so far with mixed (but good) results. The results have been my error in the amount of mix used, temperature and time, which is no fault of the machine.So far the handle is sturdy still with no signs of falling apart which gives me confidence.We use the Costco pancake mix to make our waffles, adding a table spoon of butter instead of oil and adding no egg. Using a spray oil on the plates before each waffle too.Once you get the hang of using the right amount of batter (filling to just below the lip and spreading with a silicone spatula) the results are surprisingly good. We found that turning the dial 3/4 of the way full and cooking for 1 minute 50 seconds gives you a fluffy centred waffle with a little crust.The crust is a little uneven, as you’d expect on a machine of this price, but considering a £300 - £400 machine would only be marginally better I think this is an incredible buy.If you overfill the machine I’ve found the mixture comes out at the front edge near the handle, but this is easy to clean up.Our kids love their breakfast waffles and experimenting with different toppings.The machine can be stored away relatively neatly when the plates are turned vertically and the drip tray stored beside it.The item comes packages really well with lots of polystyrene protection. It does feel rather light and flimsy, but this is at the hinge side which allows the plates to move, it doesn’t appear to be a fault.Great buy for those diner style thick waffles.

Excellent waffle maker, good temperature controls, turning upside down is easy and non-stick works well. But spills are not very easy to clean as batter gets into gaps.

My boyfriend has a sweet tooth and I decided to buy him this as a present. The whole family loves it! It's easy to use, excellent quality, and looks great in the kitchen. The waffles don't stick, they are the perfect size and are always cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend it.

I've had this iron for a few months. It was good when it worked but now it trips the electrical circuit every time plugged in. Waste of money, very disappointing.Just took it apart and EWWW mold everywhere. There isn't a way to take the plates off to clean them, so a damp wipe down usually is fine. But it's not sealed on the edges, so water creeps into the electronics and now it's a horrible mold sauna.DO NOT buy a waffle iron bit gaps all around the edges that don't have easy to clean plates.My guess is all the people in the comments who love it have some mold behind the plates without knowing. I had to take apart the whole things to get the bottom plate off, so it's not something easy to check and keep clean.
