I bought this camera to replace my laptop's built in camera. I have an external monitor, and didn't want it to look like I was constantly looking off-camera when in calls so I figured that HP was a reliable brand.It's absolute garbage. I have a well lit room with 2x nearby lights and yet the camera quality is dreadful. I'm too dark, my background is too light, and my crappy laptop camera had no trouble with either. I've even tried to shine a light directly on me and I'm still too dark.Avoid this rubbish webcam and look for something else!

Both the camera and microphone are fine as a webcam and it can be screwed on to a tripod (the reason I chose it). However both the clip for holding it on the top of a screen and the ball-and-socket are very loose, and just the weight of the cable is enough to move it out of position. One has to be quite careful setting it up. It's better on a tripod with the lead tied to the tripod leg. It's described as 1080p but it's actually 2560x1440. The lens cover is useless.

I had issues with two separate logitech cameras (and separate macbooks) on macOS randomly looping my voice on zoom chats. So far the HP hasn’t done it (few weeks in). It’s also easier than the others at tilting up/down.

Ich benutze die Kamera jetzt seit ca. 2 Monaten, ausschließlich für Videokonferenzen!, und bin mit der Leistung sehr zufrieden!Bisher habe ich die Logitech c920 PRO benutzt und muss gestehen, dass mir mit meinem Laienauge kein Unterschied auffällt. Da ich die Logitech nun wieder zurückgeben musste und beim Ersatz gerne auf ein paar Euro verzichten wollte (die HP kostet ca. die Hälfte der Logitech), bin ich über nun mit meiner Entscheidung sehr zufrieden.Der Aufnahmewinkel ist für mich vollkommen in Ordnung und insbesondere die "Nähe" der Aufnahme ist gut! Ich besitze auch die Logitech c270 und da wirkt es so, als würde ich mit der Nase direkt vor dem Monitor sitzen (da die c270 auch schon etliche Jahre auf dem Buckel und auch "nur 720p" hat, ist der hinkt dieser Vergleich natürlich auch).Der drehbare Fuß der Kamera ist ganz nett, für mich aber nicht notwendig, da sie immer nur in eine Richtung zeigen muss. Das Gelenk wirkte auf den ersten Blick etwas zu leichtgängig und ich befürchtete, dass die Kamera sich im schlimmsten Fall vielleicht sogar wegdrehen würde, im praktischen Einsatz ist das aber kein Thema!Einziges Verbesserungspotential sehe ich bei der mitgelieferten Objektivabdeckung. Der Deckel kann/muss entweder komplett abgenommen oder, und das ist wahrscheinlich der Plan, zur Seite geschoben werden. Im Vergleich zu einer Klappe (wie z.B. bei der c920) ist das etwas unkonfortabel und hier kann sich tatsächlich das leichtgängige Kugelgelenk bemerkbar machen. Mit etwas Übung ist aber auch das kein wirkliches Problem
