These always work well in my 30 year old Indesit dishwasher, I never need to pre rinse (there must be something wrong with people's dishwashers if they need to rinse crockery under the tap first!) and dried on food is no problem. I buy large packs of dishwasher tablets from Bolo because they are much cheaper than in the supermarket. I also use Finish rinse aid and dishwasher salt - even though I live in a soft water area - and once or twice a year I thoroughly clean the filters and door seals and then use a dishwasher cleaner, which may explain why my old cheap Indesit has lasted so long.

I put one of these tablets in the dishwasher and I swear I heard the plates sigh in relief. Glasses came out sparkling like they'd just had a spa day. Even my frying pan, which normally holds onto grease like it's a family heirloom, gave up and let go. Smells fresh, looks divine—I'm starting to feel insecure around my own crockery.
