The media could not be loaded. iKeener Red Light Therapy Device,FDA ClearedThis device came nicely packaged and includes a very sturdy, nice-looking grey zip up carry case. It also comes with a pair of protective glasses. I'm happy to say the glasses are actually big enough to fit over my reading glasses so I can still sit and read if I so desire (although it does make everything a yellow/green colour).Well today I woke up in the night with a great deal of pain in my knee making it difficult to walk down the stairs. It suddenly occurred to me that this is the ideal time to test out my new light therapy device which I have actually bought to help relieve the hubby's back pain.It's very straightforward to use. You can select different lengths of treatment time in 5-minute increments, and this is very easy to do with the button on the back of the device. It is recommended in the booklet that treatments last approx. 20 minutes and done twice a day for 10 to 15 days. There should be a 5–7-day interval between 2 courses. As I didn't want to sit there holding the device for 20 minutes, I found my Kindle stand was perfect to hold it in position over my knee if I placed it on the desk and raised my knee on my small exercise machine. A strong cardboard box would have worked just as well. This meant my hands were free to read my book whilst the device was active. I did remember to wear the protective glasses. There is no heat given off from the device when in use and I didn't feel anything happening in my knee at the time of treatment.Well, I'm pleasantly surprised to report that after using the device over 2 days the pain has completely gone from my knee. I'm liking this device very much.

This comes in a very nice greay storage bag with sections for the handgeld light therapy device, and an underneath section for the glasses, cable, glasses wipe and plug adaptor.This charges very easily via a USB C cable, it took me about 45 minutes for it to fully charge the first time out of the box, it makes a little buzzing sound when it's finished charging.You can use this whilst it's charging too, as long as you have a long cable.At 5 minutes I didn't notice any heat or pain relief. But I've used this on the 15 minute setting on my neck/shoulder area, and it produced some warming heat after a while. I did notice a certain amount of pain relief, but will have to persue using it long term to see how effective it is.Overall very simply and easy to use. There are two buttons, one for On/Off, one for changing the time of the light therapy, it starts at 5 minutes and goes up in 5 minute intervals to 30 minutes.You can press the On/Off button a second time whilst it is in use to pause the therapy, and again to restart it.The manual that comes with it is easy to understand, and gives you suggested timings depending on what area you wish to use it on, and timings for therapy of conditions like arthritis.

Adjustable treatment time from 5 minutes to 30 minutes.This is the first time I’ve heard of cold laser treatment wands which is confusing because it doesn’t emit any cold therapy, or hot therapy for that matter. It’s named cold laser because it doesn’t heat up I believe.The model has what is called diodes, the diodes are measured in NM so the higher the NM the higher laser for a better penetration and treatment. This particular model has a total of 14 diodes, 12 diodes are 650NM which penetrates shallow skin 2cm-3cm to promote wound healing, 2 of the diodes are 808NM which penetrate 5cm-7cm for treatment of deep pain like arthritic knees or shoulder pain.After the initial 10 hour battery charge of the device then you are ready to use the pain relieving wand.Very simple to use, clear instructions and light to hold laser wand even after a lengthy time holding because the laser wand has a nice sized handle and not too skinny which would ache your hand after a while.I’ve been using the laser therapy for a few weeks now in various ailments, carpel tunnel, plantar fasciitis and also low lumber aches and pains too, not an injury but an everyday type of older aged aches.I’ve not had a magic cure yet from using the laser wand but my aches have eased immensely after a few weeks. You have to use the laser wand for a few days at twice per day course to aid healing and then just keep topping up with a maintainable course with longer intervals  between the courses.I really prefer the holistic method of pain relief over prescription medications that could lead to addictions and also a tolerance so they’re unlikely to work after time. This handheld gadget ticks all the right boxes for me and I will continue to use it.
