I do like the OXO kitchen gadgets, and this didn’t disappoint! Easy to hold & grip, yet small for storage. Neat little sturdy tool to quickly remove the hull & green safely without slicing fingers or cutting away your precious fruit!

Bought for a very specific purpose, which is pitting cherry plums. It does a really good job with these tiny plums but wouldn’t cope with anything bigger. Occasionally it will push through and miss the stone (I’m doing hundreds at a go and sometimes don’t line one up right) but that’s user error. Much, much quicker than halving the fruit and pulling the stone. Although most of it is plastic, it’s plenty strong enough and feels like it will last many seasons.

This cuts apples with minimal effort. Just line up the central part with where the core is and push down hard. I found it easy but I do suspect that anyone with arthritis or similar problems might find it hard. The apple pieces are nice and even and only one had a little bit of residual core left on it. I suspect it is a case of practise makes perfect.I tried it with medium and large eating apples and it was large enough to cope but is not large enough for a larger cooking apple such as a Bramley.The device is easy to wash and seems solid and well made - but only time will tell.

Surpassed expectations! Makes things easier, cleaner, and replaces multiple tools.
I make guacamole every week. Cutting, deseeding, scooping avocados can be tedious. I thought this looked gimmicky, but took the gamble because of the great reviews. Wow, who thought this would be so effective!The blade is safe enough to touch with your finger, but cuts through avocados with ease. I was shocked that it works as well as any other sharp knife. The seed puller is probably my favorite part as it makes seed removal a breeze. Just tap firmly over the seed, twist and pop it out. Comes out easily without wasting any sticky avocado bits. Lastly the scooper works amazingly well too on avocados of all sizes. It scoops and slices at the same time and is easier to use than a spoon for sure. Great for salads or anything really.All in all, this little device has greatly exceeded my expectations and replaced 2-3 different tools. Just rinse it off when finished and stash it away again. It's really simplified at least one tedious kitchen workflow.

It's amazing how many more cherries I eat with the pitter. I get into the flow, pitting one cherry at a time. Works really well.NB: Some olives are too small and the whole olive passes right through the hole. So if you're looking primarily for olives, this might not be the one for you.Haven't tried any other brands before, so can't compare.
