I came across this author while browsing books to read over the festive season. My goodness, what a gem of a find! I’ve not read such an engrossing story in a while. Charlie and Taylor had me laughing and crying with them throughout the story. Travis, Travis, Travis….what more can I say. I hope he and Tanya’s relationship develops in the next book. I’m glad I found this author as I have her next books out in January and March scheduled for automatic download!

I went into this book not knowing what I was going to get because of the taboo nature, but I thought it was well done! I really enjoyed Charlie and Taylor’s journey. There were many laugh out loud moments, real discussions about life and the compromises we make, and how they in turn affect those around us. Their relationships with the kids was also lovely to read. The steam level was HOT! I really enjoyed it.

Soooo much potential. Based on the reviews I was very excited to read this book, but there was absolutely too much going on. Loved the dialogue and the loved shared between the children but at some points it just became too much.Charlie was cool until she was just annoying at points. You wouldn’t think she was a lawyer with how uptight and jarring she was. I think she was meant to be portrayed as someone who’s witty but it didn’t meet the brief.Overall, I’m happy with the ending and after reading that blurb for the second book that’s just unnecessary drama, I can’t handle it so I still be gracefully bowing out of this after book 1.

I’m really enjoying this author. I loved the intricacies of the family dynamics. I must admit that Taylor’s outbursts got on my nerves a little bit but I did understand he was not used to such an independent strong woman. I loved Connor and his love for his Mama.

This was my first book by A.N. Boyden, and I have to say it had me gripped for so many reasons - not all of them good!Taylor and Charlie’s story had so much promise - I loved the title because I used to enjoy a British tv show called wife swap, and the premise really drew me in.However, I felt both Taylor and Charlie were just very odd people - Taylor repeatedly jumping to conclusions and going on the attack before talking to Charlie. Charlie with her incessant petulant behaviour. I didn’t like how rough and ready they also seemed to be, just no etiquette - having loud sex with his parents and the children within hearing distance or the flippant way Charlie had the ‘talk’ with Kay. Or the way Charlie dealt with the situation when she was called to the principal’s office regarding Kay being involved in an altercation. It was all so bizarre and OTT dramatic you almost couldn’t make it up - except Ms Boyden did.The end, when the two couples get together to hash things out, was even more bizarre. Like Jerry Springer level common. I knew then that I wouldn’t be interested in reading the sequel because chances are I’d be treated to more of the same. Since the book received so many rave reviews, I don’t see the author taking the story in any other direction. Different strokes, different folks, I guess.The saving grace for me was the comedic moments that had me howling. So this for me made up for some of the ridiculousness and hence the 3* rating instead of a 2. Would I read any more books by the author? Yes, I’d be happy to give them a shot, just not this same story.

I loved this book by a author i have not read before it was a lovely heartwarming feel good story that made me smile and laugh out loud in some places. Charlie and Taylor are cute together and i loved all the children and how Charlie took them under her wing so lovingly.I will definitely be reading the next book and can't wait to see what is in store for the Scott family.I would recommend this book it was a great find.5*
What a fantastic story!
Whew! I felt I was watching a movie called “Family”. Such an interesting storyline about spousal swapping. Charlie aka Charlotte, a wealthy divorce lawyer was one of the wives involved in the swap. Her new husband, Taylor who owned his own construction company was a father of three including a newborn baby who Charlie became quickly enamoured with. There was a instant attraction between this couple and the story detailed the family dynamics: drama; betrayal; heartbreak ; laughter and lots of love.

I am just finished writing my list of book series. I was buying for the rest of 2025 now, I have to add this series as I fell in love from page one.Taylor & Charlie our couple goals. The story was down to earth, had real situations, real issues, real trials, real warmth, real pride, real struggles, but most of all real love that we all hope to achieve in our personal lives.These two showed so much strength encourage dealing with their situation separately and together. Dealing with real life, blended family issues and the struggles associated with them.All in all, this book really touched my heart. It was warm. It was real. It was perfect. I’m nervous to Reid baby swap, as it sounds like that might be intense and make me ugly cry. Thank you A. N. Boyden for writing such intricate and intense stories that make you equally laugh and cry!!
WOW THAT WAS WHIRLWIND RIDE!
Wow, the story was crazy off the chain. I love every minute of it. Charlie and Taylor was made for each other Myles and Sarah they were a trip they deserve each other. This book had me gone and only took me two days to read it. That’s how much I enjoy reading this story. I love it. I loved all the characters. I love the plot. It was awesome I can’t wait to read the second book. I hope it has happy ending, they stay together, and they fight for each other. You are gotta love this story. I enjoy reading every minute of it. It had me rocking.
Good Read
Spouse Swap was definitely an interesting read. There was lots of drama and laugh out loud. They're some people that shouldn't have kids and that was Sarah and Myles. But she (Sarah) was worse. I didn't care for Taylor's character. The things he said to Jordan he resented her for having money being rich. And he was a rapist and he like to get his drink on too. To me Jordan was the only good parent in the group. You unknowingly took the pill. And did get her smoke on. BUT she handled her business and was a great mom. And I did not want her to end up with Taylor.

A. N. Boyden does it again. Everything that I have read from this author is sensational. I adore this author. She needs to give up her 9 to 5 and write exclusively. Her books are that good. Interesting and entertainingly realistic characters. Complex but relatable scenarios. I laughed...... I cried. Entertainingly entertaining.
