The screw runners were a bit stiff, i assume because of the packing grease but, after a clean and a little lubrication the table moves smoothly in both directions. This product looks similar to the German P--xx-n cross table, same yellow and green paint -- but it's actually superior, in my opinion. Both slide axes run on pairs of ground steel round bars in linear bearings rather than on dovetails like the much more costly alternative. The lead screws and handles are smooth with acceptable backlash and the table is lockable in both axes. On inspection fit and finish appear to be leading brand level with all fasteners and fittings top quality,The table is anodised aluminium with diecast alloy end caps; the main body parts are powder coated diecast alloy.There are two caveats: the base casting underside is as-cast and had some high spots (moulding ejector flash) which I easily flattened with a long file; and the x-y handwheels don't have graduated scales like the Pxn. There are linear mm scales for x and y however.Then bolted down to a drill table the whole assembly is strong and rigid yet slides smoothly and accurately in both directions. Honestly, for the listed price I find the exceptional levels of quality and performance hard to understand. All the above is my opinion based on the item delivered.

Given the price, I did not have high expectations. It was delivered in a brown bag which evidently did not afford sufficient protection as inside the bag the one corner of the OEM box was badly crushed. Each slide rides on a 12mm coarse threaded bar. One cross slide was smooth to operate but the shorter slide very stiff and uneven - on inspection this was due to the screw being bent. The coarse thread governs the accuracy which is possibly good enough for some modest drilling or milling. The table is concave by approx' 0.75mm along its length and the 2 long sides are 1mm higher than the centre rail. This is unfortunate as when securing the workpiece, the table will bow. Returned using the excellent Bolo Returns process. I shall ponder whether to order another or spend a lot more.

Well packed, arrived in good condition. Fitted my drill press OK and performed as expected. Only going to be used for model making so lookes like it will last. Not enough backlash on lead screws to worry about and no slack on slide movement in X & Y so precision seems good for my needs.

Depsite this being described as NEW the Long thread rod for the X axis was badly bent to such extent the handle could not be turned. Also the screw for the handle was not threaded?! Rather than the hassle if sending it back for replacement or refund, I had my Old man take this apart to straighten amd cut threads. It's now all good but really where was the quality checking?
