5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful modern freestanding fireplace
This is a wonderful looking freestanding fireplace, providing excellent electrical heating. The pebbles & crystals alongside the faux flame effect create a fantastic feature. Especially as you have many colours to choose from to create your desired effect ( which you can change as you wish). The lower part of this fireplace also provides another beautiful effect, with its own area of effective lighting (again in the colours that you choose; & change as you so wish). There are also faux logs provided if you would like to add on top of pebbles & crystals ( We, however, chose not to add these logs, purely out of personal choice). A very modern & unique looking fireHowever, I was not prepared to how it came in so many separate pieces, requiring someone to put it together for us. So definitely not easy to assemble! Also the remote control features take some studying, again not easy. But once you can work it out, it really does offer many features, creating a warm & welcoming addition to your home. Would highly recommend this ( as long as you have someone to assemble for you of course)Hi

This looked great when installed. Simple, modern, elegant.
5.0 out of 5 stars You’ll not regret it.
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased the Ellerby suite. After much searching for an electric fireplace, I found there’s a confusing sea of choice, ranging in prices and features. The reviews seemed to be very good for endeavour fires, so this helped in narrowing down my choice. From the minute I ordered, through to delivery, I was kept up to date with every step. The delivery arrived the very next day, in excellent time and condition. Assembly, and instructions were very straight forward, up and running within an hour. The quality of the fire is excellent, exceeding my expectations. The flame effect is realistic, offering three option and several stages of brightness. The ember bed offering 14 colour options, again with five stages of brightness. The remote control is of great quality, has a great range and offers full control of the fire and its lights The heater, is fairly quiet, unobtrusive and kicks out a good amount of heat! My only regret, is not getting the larger option!! Awesome fire, you’ll not regret your purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely beautiful fireplace
Took a little while to build but worth it, our new fireplace has transformed our room. Modern and cosy, a real focal point in the living room. Loads of different lighting options, powerful yet quiet heater. Love the thermostatic remote. We didn’t use the stones/crystals and logs included, we replaced with larger smooth white stones to achieve the look we wanted. Really pleased with our purchase.
4.0 out of 5 stars Spectacular fire
This fire is spectacular, looks amazing when installed. It is however very fiddly and difficult to assemble. It is also very heavy to mount. I put this on a cavity wall and this needs to be done carefully with the correct mountings, not those supplied. Saying that it is well worth the trouble
5.0 out of 5 stars Great room feature
Lovely modern focal point in my modern living room. A quality product, easy to assemble and install.Has temperature controls and timers. Such a great item. I researched several similar items but this came top for value, function and style.I’m very pleased.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous fire/flame effect
Hugely impressed with this electric fire. It’s a beautiful focal point, providing a warm and cosy atmosphere to our sitting room. We use it to provide ambiance, not as a heat source. It has been a very successful find and everyone who sees it is impressed. I’ve been looking for an acceptable flame effect electric fire for a long time and have never been able to find one I’ve been truly happy with. I saw this on Bolo and ordered it in trepidation, expecting to be disappointed, but how wrong was I, it’s surpassed all others I have seen, considered or bought. The price is exceptionally good and would highly recommend Endeavour fires, plus its great to know its built in the UK.
3.0 out of 5 stars So much potential, annoying beeps, struggles to make it look more "real"
The media could not be loaded. I rarely write reviews but I've made this review on the Haxby model quite lengthy, and even made a compilation video as this afternoon has turned into evening, as if like me you are drawn to this design because you like the look of the 3 sided or inbuilt fires that go into the wall, but are looking for a very cheap and quick similar kind of effect, then you'll probably be interested to know the following. My house did not have any fire or working chimney so I wasn't replacing anything but rather wanted something simple and cheap, that looked as much like a real fire as possible while I'm saving up for an extension with log burner. When I first opened the big boxes (one for the fire and one for the white casing/mantle which was damaged but the mantle was ok) the first surprise was that it didn't have glass at the front, only at the sides. I had assumed from the description that it had 3 sides of glass, and when I had pre downloaded the instructions they stated not to use products when cleaning the fire, but to clean the front glass panel with a soft cloth... but they must have meant the flame panel, and anyway that was my mistake and it doesn't make much difference to me, in fact I probably prefer it this way. The second thing was that even though I had messaged endeavour fires and asked them a few questions prior to purchase, one of them being what colour the cable and plug were, and had been advised it was white, the cable and plug were in fact black. So if you are considering a set-up where the cable is going to be seen then it will be black and that made me more determined to find a way to mount mine without the cable being seen.Nevertheless, I thought it's here now, I'll see what can be done and started to unpack properly and turned it on quick to check it was working, half hoping it was not so I could return it. At this stage, my (adult) children came and laughed when they saw it and I cried because it just looked like a weird, boxy, oversized toy fire. In the sellers photos it looks like the flame affect might have various orange and yellow tones. It only has flat orange and the flames are very uniform, segmented and not natural looking. Since the fire isn't that wide, in my opinion in would have looked WAY better if the middle, or... even slightly off centre flame effect was just a little higher up the screen Also since they manage to have an effect that is 2 toned orange and purple, surely they could have had orange and a slightly more yellow/orange for more realism. The colours of the led fuel bed are so basic and harsh and would be so much better if they slowly flickered/slightly dimmed /shimmered randomly like embers rather that just be on steady. There is a setting where these cycle through a variety of colours including all the shades in between the basic ones. I have a cheapo diffuser/vapouriser that does this and you can stop the cycling on any shade. I feel this would make it so soooooo much better as the orange option it gives you is way too red but then the next one is a green toned yellow! On the underneath mood lights the blue light didn't work on mine at first, and I had to take it back off the wall and re check the connection as you connect that in as you are assembling it. I wouldn't use blue anyway or any of the preset garish colours and I really really wish this part had a warm white option. (Anyone know how I can do this). The clear"resin crystals" and logs that are included with it look pretty dodgy. Again my kids just laughed and laughed...The logs designs are repeated rather than all being different and are very brown and small. The white pebbles just scream fake electric fire. Every single time you want to adjust a setting on the fire... the flame, brightness, fuel bed, the temp... the fire beeps loudly in the most annoying way, ruining any ambience you might attempt to achieve with a flame effect appliance. Why would anyone do this? Can I turn this off somehow? When you turn the actual heater on it does give out some heat, and there is a noise but it isn't as loud as the only other little mini fake log burner heater I have ever owned. Even though I have mounted it on a disused chimney breast in the middle of an open plan area, it heats the front sofa area up that it is facing very quickly at this time of year, so you really don't need it on for long at all. The other effects are silent. If you mount it low enough on the wall then the vents and controls at the top of the flame screen are fairly hidden and on the whole this is generally a good thing. It does means that there is a little vent on the top left of the fire that seems to blow out cold air so if you should want to sit closer to it for any reason, most of you is getting warm air and the left side chilly. You don't notice this when you are further away, as you probably should be anyway. When you are wanting to use the heater, since the remote is the thermostat, that has to be left out, so I would have preferred this to be beige or pale grey... something more stylish and contemporary than another black plastic remote, but again that might just be me. I was intending mainly to use it for the flame effect though, and just the heat occasionally. And to be honest, without spending a few thousand for a more realistic one to be installed into the wall, this is obviously considerably cheaper and so I wanted to see if I could make it work. Prior to the final assembly and drilling up etc, I had tested it out with much bigger logs and other pebbles and this made it look so much better to my taste, as the higher up the logs can be to cover some of the flames, the more realistic they look and bigger logs reflect the top downlights more and give it more structure...And as another reviewer said, make it look less like a gloomy fishtank when it is off/unlit.Assembly was quite time-consuming especially if you want to mount it in a very specific place which I did. I probably wouldn't trust a man to do it, at it's fiddly and you have to follow the instructions very carefully hahaha, but that probably says more about my trust in men. 2 of my side glass brackets were too tight to fit over the glass and I had to bang them out of shape a bit with a hammer but I did it, and everything else all myself, although I did require help to finally place it on it's wall bracket. I used a level when I marked the holes for the bracket, and the fire ended up perfectly straight.Oh and if you are worried by the description calling it off white, then I would say it's actually just white. Maybe they say this because it's not super optically brightened white but I mounted it on a wall painted with white emulsion and it blends in perfectly. But despite all my complaints, I decided to keep it! The area of flame effect is decent and and since it's only 20cm deep from the wall it doesn't take up much space in the room and none visually from the floor, yet gives it a lot of presence and a small surface to decorate. The 3 sided effect is contemporary and I would say the whole design quite minimalistic so that you can add decor in a variety of styles. I've managed to make it look passable to me. Once you've got a candle and a couple of pieces of decor on top (I especially recommended something round to balance out all the boxiness) and/or a pretend log basket nearby, your required setting and the beeping has stopped, sitting with it in view is actually really relaxing and cosy. I very rarely have the TV on, so even just the flame effects does give some warmth and movement to the room and I feel it is possibly quicker and easier to pop on and off than faffing around with a bio fire or loads of candles. Even my children have come around now and think it's ok. It looks better on and we just have the flame effect on whenever we are downstairs. In the Summer if I don't want the flames on and it looks like an abandoned fishtank, maybe I will put a big trailing plant over it.So to conclude, I would hope that endeavour fires might read this and take these points into consideration in future designs as in my opinion, these little fires have the potential to be so much better for probably little to no extra cost. If you ever need me to test a prototype for fussy ladies, let me know :)
