I bought this cap to replace the identical one I have had for several years as it fell in a canal and sunk! It fits well and stays on in heavy winds. I ,however, hope that this one remains it's colour as the old one had parts that went brown. Talking to people I am advised that any black product can tend to loose its colour.

I got this hat to replace the exact same one, that I sadly left on holiday! I’ve rated this 1 ⭐️ because it is not the black and grey recycled 66 cap. The sizing on this cap is much bigger than the usual ‘one size fits all’ from North Face. The photos of the item confirm that the cap is Black with a grey logo, which i what I wanted. I received a black hat with a white logo and others seem to had had the same issue. For the price I paid, I could have got the black hat with a white logo much cheaper elsewhere.This cap arrived with defective white marks around the back and to the sides, I’ve captured one on the sides to show. Tried to wipe the mark, but it wouldn’t come off.The hat is described here on Bolo as follows “A vintage wash gives it the look and feel of a hat that's already broken in.” The hat is solid black it DOES NOT have a vintage wash. Even the material isn’t quite right when comparing to the recycled original from north face, It’s just not the same.Really disappointed with this purchase. I would not recommend buying this, I wouldn’t buy it again, it’s not as described and I am questioning it’s authenticity.
