I never really liked an electric bass, but this is great - basically an acoustic guitar but one octave lower. Lovely sound and it feels easy to play.I agree with the previous reviewer - I would prefer it if it had a stud on the neck for a strap (it only has one on the bottom), or some instructions on how to tie a strap without it.Similarly, there needs to be instructions on the pre-amp. I hooked up the instrument to an amp, found it didn't work, so started unscrewing the pick-up plate expecting to find the battery. I eventually found the battery case hidden by the jack plug socket on the bottom. There was a PP3 battery wrapped in cellophane. I then managed to get the electro side working.I havn't found an on-off button yet. However, there is a phase button. If like me, you don't know what that is, it's to stop a combination of electric amplification and microphone amplification getting out of phase.The tuner on it is graphically impressive. I'm not sure how accurate it is as I have all my instruments tuned to an old acoustic tuner.Another thing I didn't realise, is that if you hit the review button on Bolo, it comes up with a way of instant messaging the supplier, which would have been useful to know.

Great price and great acoustic bass. Deep, rich sound. The action could do with a tweak, but still worth the five stars. I may attempt to put that right myself - gulp!

Resonanzscheppern im Tonabnehmerbereich (bei 2 Bassgitarren vom gleichen Hersteller nacheinender)
Die Bassgitarre ist ein wirklich schön gearbeitetes, wertiges Instrument. Wäre da nicht ein sehr lautes Resonanzscheppern immer beim gleichen Ton (B auf der E1 Saite) . Ich konnte, da das Geräusch so ungefähr unter der Decke im Bereich des Saitenhalters geschieht, nicht darauf zugreifen, um evtl. etwas dämpfendes zwischen Decke und den "Schwinger" zu schieben. Deshalb habe ich das Instrument zurückgeschickt.Dann habe ich ein zweites Instrument, wie das erste neu fabrikverpackt erhalten und das Resonanzscheppern war wieder da, diesmal nicht bei einem definierten Ton, sondern ab dem G über 5 weitere Töne auf der E1 Saite.Schade, ichj musste das schöne Instrument wieder retournieren. Draus gelernt, habe ich den nächsten Bass bei Thomann bestellt-diesmal kein "Schuss in den Ofen" sondern eine Bassgitarre mit wunderbar weichen Tönen-akustisch wie auch verstärkt.
