Each year at Christmas I give families we know a box of chocolates and a game. I saw this item and it was just the right price and age group rating for the families I buy for.It is a fairly robust plastic sphere that has quite a loud noise. Which is great for a noisy house hold.The game itself is not very difficult but I bet after the kids go to bed, this would make a fun drinking game that would increase in difficulty as you get plastered over Christmas.It's good value and not bad fun. I guess it is less violent than monopoly and its quicker to play.

At first I was disappointed that it didn't come with 3 triple A batteries, but once I scrabbled and found 3 in a drawer, I was more than happy! We haven't played it as a family yet but I had a go to test it using 2 player. Its really good and can throw a curve ball which makes the game interesting! The voice is clear and the whole thing is so easy to understand and operate. Well worth the money!

Amazing bargain on Bolo. One person starts the story then next person continues after hearing their own sound after shaking. Group of children happily played in school holidays sitting in the garden. Equally good fun to include adults as there are two levels of sounds. At first I didn’t ‘get it’ till a friend gave a demo. Hilarious. Everyone was laughing. I have bought three so far as great present for all ages as long as they are fun type people!

Originelle Idee, allerdings etwas teuer
Optisch sieht Shake your Story schon fast wie ein modernes Kunstobjekt aus. Auch sonst sind Qualität und Verarbeitung sehr gut.Die Idee, dass einer beginnt, eine Geschichte zu erzählen und dann reihum weitererzählt wird, kennen wahrscheinlich die meisten. Bei uns ist das vor allem im Urlaub und an Halloween beliebt. Shake your Story greift die Idee auf und ergänzt sie mit den unterschiedlichsten Geräuschen. Mir gefällt, dass es zwei Modi gibt. Einen für Kindergartenkinder, einen ab dem Schulalter. Um ein neues Geräusch zu hören, wird einfach das Gerät geschüttelt. Insgesamt gibt es laut Hersteller 150 Geräusche. Dass man vorher nie weiß, welches Geräusch als nächstes kommt, macht die Sache zusätzlich spannend. Und dann muss man ja auch noch zusehen, wie man das Geräusch mehr oder weniger sinnvoll in die Geschichte einbaut. Das macht richtig Spaß. Zwei kleine Kritikpunkte gibt es allerdings. Erstens wird das Gerät mit Batterien betrieben (3x AA, müssen separat bestellt werden). Mir wäre hier eine Akkulösung, etwa das Aufladen per USB, deutlich lieber gewesen. Zweitens macht das Spiel zwar Laune und die Verarbeitung ist gut. Aber der Preis von gut 30 € ist schon recht hoch. Für uns kommen wir so auf 3,5 - 4 Sterne.

An extremely good game to be played by adults and older children alike. We play it often as a family, and it creates a lot of laughs all round. Highly recommended.
