This technique typically produces vanilla beans with higher moisture content. Our gourmet vanilla beans have a moisture content of roughly 33%. You'll notice that there are no breaks or splits within the vanilla beans; another indication of extremely high quality. To use a vanilla bean, cut each end off from the vanilla bean and slice through the vanilla bean lengthwise, remove the paste from inside the vanilla bean and use as needed. vanilla has become very expensive last 5 years, when you see 3£ for 1 pod in high street. so wasn't expecting a lot from this order, surprised with this vanilla its fresh soft and very fragrant, i have ordered again,Due to the freshness i blend it with sugar and a tiny amount water to produce a syrup. blend the entire pod skin and all and place it in jar, if you don't have the mini blending machine use mortar pestle.
