Keeps My Wife’s Natural Gray Hair Beautifully Vibrant!
My wife uses the Clairol Professional Shimmer Lights Purple Shampoo and Conditioner to maintain her gorgeous natural gray hair, and it’s been a game-changer. Over time, gray hair can develop yellowish tones, but this duo completely neutralizes them, leaving her hair bright and radiant.The shampoo is richly pigmented and works wonders even after just one use. It brightens her gray strands without drying them out, which has been a common issue with other purple shampoos she’s tried. The conditioner adds the perfect finishing touch, making her hair soft, shiny, and easy to style.She uses it once or twice a week, and it’s more than enough to keep her hair looking vibrant. A little goes a long way, but it’s important not to leave the shampoo on too long, as the purple pigment can leave a slight tint if overused.The scent is nice but a bit strong, which might not appeal to everyone. The product does make white/gray hair look shiny and bright. A dime-quarter size spot is all you need, more could be problematic. There is a chemical odor, so a thorough rinse is necessary.
High Chemical Smell
I recently purchase this Shampoo and Conditioner and the smell of chemicals in this product is so strong and it stinks. With that said, I do like how it keeps the brassy tones in my hair at bay. The conditioner is so thin and watery that it does not provide any moisture to my hair. I won't purchase this again but I will continue to use what I have as I don't believe in wasting money.
Does NOT turn your hair blue!
As I began to grow grayer and grayer I asked my beautician how to brighten it. She recommended this product. I never wanted to dye my hair but embrace my natural gray. Always afraid to use a purple shampoo for fear of becoming a “blue haired old lady”. This whitened the white and brightened the gray. I use it a couple of times a week with the conditioner.
