Easy to assemble although a bit time-consuming, and height is variable by leaving out a side section. Looks good. Quality seems good but only time will tell about durability. Electric drill or screwdriver recommended for speedier assembly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great arch for very good price

    M. · 18 August 2024

I had a clematis arch come down in high winds so needed a support for the remaining plant. This was ideal. I assembled one side fully then pushed the ‘ladder’ bits through the gaps in the fence. The arch was flexible enough to slightly widen it to fit. Assembled the other half on the back side of the fence, added some cable ties to attach it firmly to the back and it’s very sturdy. Tied in the vine tendrils and it looks like it’s been there for years. Knocked off 1 star for one of the connecting spars not having the screw fitting inside so couldn’t screw it together. Didn’t want to disassemble it at that point so worked round it by filling the tube end with No More Nails then pressed the screw in and left it to set. Seems to be holding up. Great value, I would say not the strongest if left on its own but any climbing plant would soon help that. Great for balloon arches too I would guess, lightweight and easy to assemble / disassemble.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good value for money

These arches are excellent value for money. Found them very easy to assemble as each different section is labelled on the bag. Have now ordered 7 of them for different plants to grow down the side of my house in a row. They seem very study once positioned into the ground and are holding up well, even in strong winds, and haven't an so far shown any evidence of rust. They are a very good height for my climbing roses and honey suckle who seem very happy with their new supports.

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks nice, a bit tricky to assemble

    B.f. · 26 February 2025

This is really not quite what I expected. It's a self assembly obelisk made up of a lot of smallish parts and screwed together with steel nuts and bolts which will quite quickly rust and become immovable. One of the bolts had a small piece of metal sticking out of the thread which I had to file down with a metal rasp before it would go through the nut. The instruction diagram does not make it clear that it is essential to make up the 3 circles (each made of 4 pieces that slot into each other: not especially easy) before attempting to attach them to the leg pieces. Slot a leg piece into the top section "leg" and then screw through all the holes into the ring, working your way right round all four "legs". Do NOT tighten all the bolts hard into the nuts at this stage. Then take more leg pieces and attach them and the next ring in the same way for the next two rings. Then you can tighten everything up. It does feel quite wobbly until you push the bottom of the legs into the ground then it will be quite stable. But I don't hold out massive hopes that it will last a very long time - you get what you pay for. That said, once assembled, it does look very nice and is big enough to take a climbing rose and/or a largish clematis. So good value for money in some ways.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can be erected by one person, even elderly.

    M.L. · 14 April 2024

As a 77-year-old woman, I surprised myself in managing quite easily to put this arch together and erect it in the garden on my own. All the pieces were present in the package and I had no problems screwing it all together. I constructed the left and right sides of the arch separately on a table in the house and then carried the two pieces outside where I joined them on the lawn.Bear in mind that, when you connect the left and right sides at the apex of the arch, you need to have 2 male ends on one side and two female ends on the other, otherwise they will not slot together. To ensure this happens, I suggest you start constructing the arch at the bottom of one side with the two pieces packaged separately and marked “e” which both have male ends. That will ensure you end up with 2 two male ends on that side, at the apex. To ensure you have two female ends at the apex on the other side of the arch, work from the top downwards, when constructing that side.I prepared holes in the ground by driving a 20mm aluminium pipe into the ground to a depth of approx. 400mm and I tested slotting the two sides of the arch into the holes separately before I finally joined them together. That helped me to visualise the placement and level up each side. This was important as my land slopes a bit, so one side needed deeper holes than the other. I used a spirit level. Although the instructions say you need two people, I found it was dead easy to lift the lightweight, joined structure on my own and slide the legs into the prepared holes. The arch is surprisingly steady although I have ordered thick bamboo canes to ram in beside all four legs, as my 20mm holes are bigger than the diameter of the arch tubing. It is not a very strong arch but my garden is sheltered by high hedges and I don’t get high winds. Also, you wouldn’t want to grow anything heavy on this arch. I’m just using it to support some stray branches of a rambling rose and to grow a few sweet peas. I am expecting that the arch will rust quite rapidly but, at this low price you could, if necessary, afford to replace it every year! I imagine that even expensive metal arches rust too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Value Arch

    D.B. · 31 March 2025

The garden arch was simple to assemble, and once up, it looks great! It has a good height, making it perfect for creating a pumpkin arch, which is exactly what I plan to do. However, the structure does feel a little flimsy, so I’ll be reinforcing it with some extra poles and chicken wire for added stability. That said, for the price, it’s a bargain and a great addition to the garden.

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy purchase for my little Apple tree and grape trees

    Y.D. · 12 May 2025

It’s very light and thin which made me think it would be crap but NO it looks amazing on my little apple tree it’s great because all the separate little parts can be taken off no matter how the tree grows it’s removable and nice. Also when the item is in the ground it gives it more stability. Same situation for the arch one Ive used for grape tree and it seems so light and flimsy until it’s in the ground.
