GLC has a little shelf above the usb and sd card panel in the arm rest stowage area - The rubber pad that sits in this shelf is removable and reveals a square hole big enough to fit the WiFi, Aux and Lightning cables through, I just cut the rubber pad to the size of that hole - no need to drill.CarPlay works well - wired or wireless -You just need a bit of patience and reboot the system once after installation.Is is as good as a factory fit version - probably not quite as smooth or integrated quite as well -However - great value by comparison to a dealer solution (buy a newer version of the car) or custom after market instillation company.I'm really pleased with my evenings work and the kit from Road Top.Thanks -

Not too difficult to install, I would recommend using other YouTube videos as a guide. Works fine but what I noticed is the sound when connected has too much bass. There is an option to reduce this but it’s not straight forward via the EQ interface. Overall great for maps, it starts straight away when the car turns on and connects automatically. Only annoying thing is, you have to use AUX as the input via usb. Also when in CarPlay mode, you can’t have the radio on. You have to stream through the music app. Apart from that, it’s okay.

Excellent product - took about 90 minutes to fit - no issues with the audio - I’ve set it up to transmit the audio from the modules Bluetooth to the cars Bluetooth receiver - sounds great 👍🏻

Works perfectly followed instructions and no problem at all. The tricky part of the operation is the removal of the centre console. Make sure you protect your screen with a bag or something and your will and dashboard before you remove it. There are loads of YouTube's on it.You and have to find a place for the module. It seems like a lot of room underneath the original radio but the centre console storage compartment actually needs most of that space under the radio so if you position it there it needs to be pushed right back. It would probably be better to put it in the glove box but I managed to get mine under the radio but pushing all the cables the star back as they will go go before pushing the unit in firmly. Position it sideways so that you are not putting pressure on the wires either side of the unit.

Product as described. Good quality harnesses and box. This isn’t an easy install (as YouTube might make you think), would recommend getting it fitted unless you’re very patient. Instructions could be better but I found good youtube videos.Having read some of the reviews I see why people are having problems and I did have to do some trouble shooting. Some people complain about poor audio quality, this was the case initially but was easily fixed by connecting the aux properly to the usb converter.One of the reviews complains about not being able to answer calls. This is because calls can not be answered through CarPlay. The audio is relayed via the aux/usb interface 1. Therefore on your phone you to have it connected to MB Bluetooth not CarPlay. This took me a while to figure out.Overall great product for the price. Some small issues compared to factory CarPlay in modern cars but for the price it does the job.

Sounds good, but sometimes it stops working and the telephone feature doesn’t work most of the time! I’m really annoyed when I get call and I have take out my phone to answer it instead of the answering through my car system! Not good!

Instructions could have been better. The link to the video isn only so useful as it's in Chinese and camera work obscures most of what you need to see. I found various Youtube videos for different products that helped to get access to the head unit. I followed the install diagram closely, but it wouldn't work. I installed it twice and both times, it failed. A shame as I was looking forward to getting Android Auto on my 2016 MB C-class.

I expected this install to take around 20 minutes after i watched the install video.At first it did, around 15/20 minutes but i just couldnt get a carplay picture on my display (just the default Mercedes display) I had audio, siri, everything just no picture whilst holding the * button.All the video and the instructions show a PURPLE display connector. So i used this. After 2 hours of no operation i had another look at this connection. Purple is not correct. The display cable is BLUE, once i used this cable everything worked perfectly.A nice solution.

Sono riuscito anche a passare il cavo Audio all'adattatore Bluetooth nello scomparto bracciolo, SENZA FARE NESSUN FORO: infatti se si solleva una gommina per oggetti vicino alle prese USB, c'è appunto un foro dove poter passare il cavetto jack audio. Inoltre, con lo stesso metodo, ho passato il cavetto USBC di carica del telefono vicino all'accendisigari. Funziona molto bene, soprattutto in wireless, appena si entra in macchina, parte subito Android auto. Adesso posso tranquillamente usare Google Maps sullo schermo originale Mercedes, vedere i messaggi WhatsApp e ascoltare Radio speciali come BBC World.....Costa un po, è vero, ma i soldi li vale veramente tutti: davvero un plus da avere assolutamente su una GLC 250 COUPE! STRACONSIGLIATO!

Única manera de tener carplay en clase c w205. En algunos aspectos la integración no es tan perfecta como sería un sistema de serie, pero en lo fundamental realiza su función sin graves inconvenientes. No causa ningún conflicto con el sistema de serie, funcionan con el los mandos del vehículo, cámaras 360º, etc. Los mayores inconvenientes que encuentro son: que no se pueden escuchar las instrucciones de navegación si se va escuchando la radio del coche o el reproductor de cd del mismo, que las actualizaciones haya que pedirselas al fabricante y no esten disponibles para su descarga en algún sitio y que el reproductor de archivos de video y audio por usb que incluye no funciona muy bien la música no se reproduce del todo fluidamente, se producen micro interrupciones perceptibles, sin embargo permite reproducir archivos flac, cosa que el sistema del coche no permite.

Fits well, works well, but its hard to install

Arrived quickly. Comes with installation guide. Its quite tricky to install yourself but possible. Plugging the connectors is the easiest part, but fitting wires and whole module under the panel is hard. Theres no need for wiring reverse camera if you have original one and everything works pretty good. For the price its good purchase. Of course there are flaws but they are small and insignificant

Monté sur un GLC de 2017, installation en 40min, passage des câbles aisés, ne pas oublier la fibre optique à déplacer sur le Burtmester (revoir petit perçage invisible vers l'accoudoir centrale pour l'AUX vers l'USB), configuration complètement personnalisable ; Ne pas hésiter à modifier les volumes parole/music histoire de ne pas avoir saturations ou grésillements.Il est rapide, le basculement sur la caméra de recul est instantané, coyote et maps fonctionnent en même temps. Siri change juste complètement l'utilisation de la voiture.Achat sans regret et installation invisible.
