Wholefood Earth Red Split Lentils 3 kg | GMO Free | Natural | High Protein

Description:

About this item:

  • ✔ A WORLD OF GOODNESS: In a world full of fad diets, quick bites, and intricate recipes, don’t forget about the wonders of simple, nourishing food. We actively seek sustainable sources for our goods, asking our suppliers the tough questions that we know matter to our customers and making sure all our products are 100% GMO-Free. We follow strict hygiene processes to provide the best quality ingredients and have achieved a maximum of 5 Start food hygiene ratings.
  • ✔ Red Split Lentils: The lentil plant (Lens Culinaris) is one of our oldest food sources, hailing from Asia and North Africa. There are various types of lentils, but Brown, Red, Green, and Yellow lentils are the most widely used in cooking. Don't be misled, the last two are Split peas, a form of "Field Pea," and are sometimes chevaled as lentils. These "peas" are hulled and then split in half along their natural seam, allowing for quicker cooking and obviating the need for pre-soaking.
  • ✔ HIGH-QUALITY INGREDIENTS: Red split lentils are high in protein and fibre, and when cooked completely, they become wonderfully creamy. Lentils are an essential component in vegan and vegetarian diets when protein intake needs to be controlled because only one legume has a greater protein content than lentils: the soybean. Red Split Lentils are natural, GMO-free, and vegan-friendly.
  • ✔ INSTRUCTION FOR USE: To Cook: Allow approximately 40g of lentils per 80g cooked serving. Wash in 3-4 changes of clean water. Soak in enough water to cover for at least 15-20 mins. Replace water with fresh water, and bring to a boil for at least 10 minutes. Simmer for 30 mins or until tender.
  • ✔ JUST THE GOOD STUFF / FULLY RECYCLABLE PACKAGING: We believe that good food shouldn’t cost the earth, as such, sustainability matters to us dearly. That’s why we work tirelessly to find sustainable solutions throughout our business. We rolled out all-new 100% recyclable packaging on Wholefood Earth products. The new packaging is apt for kerbside recycling.
  • ✔ OUR STORY: Thank you for knowing It's what's on the inside that counts. For wanting a future without toxins in the food your children eat. For insisting on the accountability that traces food back to its source. For protecting the biodiversity that nurtures animal habitats and makes crops thrive. And, from everyone here at Wholefood Earth, thank you for using your buying power to make meaningful, informed choices that will continue to nourish our people and our planet today, tomorrow, and forever. 5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to make meals stretch or soak up runny curry!

    M.E. · 28 May 2022

All the family like these . Usually add to a curry to get more protein in and stretch the meals out. Sometimes in slow cooker too a stew or curry can be too runny by the time veg are added so add a few scoops of these to absorb excess liquid so it’s just right - great value

3.0 out of 5 stars Very pale in colour

    l.l. · 26 April 2024

I’ve bought red split lentils from Wholefood Earth many times before and always been pleased. However, the latest 2kg pack I just received show the lentils to be very pale in colour, they do not look very nutritious compared to the colour of previous packs. I’ve not cooked them as yet, as still have previous pack remaining. But preparing myself for flavourless lentils. If I had noticed before opening the pack, I would have requested return

    Tolles Produkt…
