Our HypaPlast Burn Plasters are suitable for minor burns and scalds. They have a slight cooling effect to soothe and relieve pain. Plasters have a cool transparent polyurethane gel on a polyurethane film boarder to treat and protect the burn from bacterial penetration. These plasters create a moist environment which presents hard scab formation to reduce scarring and promote healing. Plasters are sterile and individually wrapped.
How to use:
Immediately cool the burn under running water for at least 20 minutes. Pat the area dry gentle before applying a plaster. Ensure you choose a size plaster that is big enough for the wound/injury. The polyurethane film should only come into contact with the skin and not the burn wound/injury. Replace with a new plaster at least once a week or more often if required. The healing process can be observed without removing the plaster. To remove the plaster, press gently down on the skin and carefully lift the polyurethane film around the burn, then carefully lift the plaster away.
Hazards and Cautions:
To help prevent infection, wash hands before use and after dressing the burn injury.
Our HypaPlast Burn Plasters should not be used on third degree burns or highly exuding wounds.
Do not use on large or severe burns or on burns that are infected or bleeding. Seek medical advice.
If the burn becomes reddened, swollen or does not appear to heal after a period of time, seek medical advice.
After a period, the plasters will dry out; this is normal.
Remove and replace the dressing if necessary.
Do not use if you have any known reactions to polyurethane gel.
Do not used if the wrapper is damaged or it’s dried out.
Do not use after expiry date.
Do not re-use plasters, these are single -use only and will negatively affect performance and greatly increase risk of infection.
Plasters are sterile until opened.

I’ve used these for a couple of burns now and they’re great. The one pictured is just a mild one from the oven, but my last was more severe and this prevented scarring. The lifting in the corner on the image was from me picking at it, but I’ve showered with it on and it’s remained glued down.I wasted a couple of plasters to begin with by applying them on damp skin or with any sort of cream around the burn (e.g. savlon). Make sure any antiseptic creams are on the area will be covered by the blue gel patch only, if you get any around it the adhesive won’t work and the plaster will lift immediately.These are 100% worth having on hand at home for minor burns.

Wonderful! I burned my arm on a fresh-from-the-oven baking tray when I touched it to the tray while distracted, and it’s started to blister and become itchy, so I was looking for something light and easy (and soothing!) to wear while the whole thing healed, and I picked these. Before finding these, I had a piece of gauze taped to it, which made me uncomfortable and made the itching worse! They were delivered the following day, and I put one straight on! They are double-sealed, adhesive side like a regular plaster is, as normal, and also the dry side. Once you have it on, it’s comfortable and soothing, and see through, even the padded part is see through as you can see in my photo, and you can see my burn, making it easier to check on healing. Almost the very second the pad touched my burn, I could feel it cooling, and the itching feeling eased off really quickly. These will be great in stopping me from scratching it without realising and helping to speed up the healing process. Recommended!

Absolutely love these!... So much so that I reordered some. They stay well in place, protect in the shower without the use of plastic bags. And really help with the healing. I even left it on for 2 days and it was fine. Make sure your skin is dry when you put it on. I will keep a few in my emergency box!
