- Long awaited 6 CD, 68 artists, 121 track clam shell box covering the first six volumes in the seminal Oi! Compilation series.
- Initially launched in 1980 by ‘Sounds’ journalist Garry Bushell, “Oi! The Album” contained tracks from the likes of Cockney Rejects, Angelic Upstarts, The Exploited, The 4 Skins, Cock Sparrer, Slaughter & The Dogs and Peter & The Test Tube Babies.
- 1981’s “Strength Thru Oi!” featured the likes of Toy Dolls, Infa Riot, Cock Sparrer, Last Resort and ‘newer’ bands like The Strike and Criminal Class as well as the Oi! poet Garry Johnson.
- “Carry On Oi!!” hit No.4 in the Independent Chart and ‘introduced’ the likes of The Business, The Partisans, Blitz, Red Alert and The Ejected alongside ‘veterans’ such as The 4 Skins and Infa Riot.
- Disc 4 is 1982’s “Oi! Oi! That’s Yer Lot”. Reggae legend Judge Dread along with ‘one man Chas ‘N’ Dave’ Frankie Flame and established Oi! acts such as The Business and The Oppressed. Added to the disc are five tracks originally recorded at the session for the LP but later released on the ‘Back On The Streets’ EP.
- “Son Of Oi!” is what you will find on Disc 5. An Indie Chart No.11, it featured stalwarts like The 4 Skins, Angelic Upstarts, Cock Sparrer, The Business and The Gonads as well as introducing ‘newer’ acts such as Vicious Rumours, Prole and Maniac Youth.
- The final disc is 1984’s “Oi! Of Sex” which reached No.11 in the Indie Chart. Again a mixture of the established – Cock Sparrer, Gonads – and the new - The Burial, ABH and Rat Patrol.
- Original series compiler Garry Bushell has provided in-depth newly commissioned sleeve notes on the era.

this is a fantastic collection and a must own for all oi punks and or punks worldwide!!!! i bought most of these titles back in the mid 1980s on vinyl and i still own them today and i even have a few on jewel case cd reissue from the 90s BUT i just had to spring for this when i saw captain oi was doing this in a clam shell box with all discs in mini lp replica sleeves remastered, of all six my favorite ones are especially disc#1 & disc #2 ,#3  oi thats yer lot wich was released back in early 1983 had a great mix of oi, ska/oi and some really killer british pub songs in general by such bands as THE BUISSINESS, SUB CULTURE, ARTHER AND THE AFTERS, FRANKIE & THE FLAMES, ATTILA THE STOCKBROKER & OF COARSE THE MAGNIFICANT GONDADS & NOT THAT I WAS EVER MUCH OF A FAN BUT THE TRACK by JUDGE DREAD used for the oi oi thats yer lot comp was just so great and perfect for the way the record was put together son of oi & the last volume where very good as well BUT it was the first four volumes that really got me as these came out back in the 80s like 2 editions a year, as i always say when i review these releases they bring back great 80s memories for me , if you have read this far you know enough about oi punk i must assume, anyway UNLIKE some recent cherry red sets like this that have come out without clam shell boxes & cheaper packaging THIS EDITION DID NOT!!!! this is a sturdy clam shell box, great remastered sounding discs and nice mini lp replica sleeves of the original lps & you get a nice booklet with this as well, THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM A CAPTAIN OI RELEASE so if you still buy cds and oi punk is/was your thing YOU WILL LOVE THIS!!!!!!! HIGH QUALITY RELEASE ps for the hell of it it would have been nice if the joys of oi disc from 1982/83 was included here but it was not part of the series so im not complaing.....

Die ersten 6 Scheiben der legendären Samplerreihe auf 6 CDs in einer Box. Leider fehlt auf der 4. CD der Song "Revenge" von Black Flag. Das ist mega schade. Dafür sind jedoch als Bonus alle 5 Songs von der "Back in the Streets EP" mit droben. Eine absolute Kaufempfehlung meinerseits. Punk's not dead!!! Dieser Punk wird immer leben.
