The new TV came with a single combined 3.5mm optical in (centre speaker) and out. The TV did come with an adaptor, but plugging in the optical cable via this did not feel secure. Thus, this convertor cable with Toslink to mini-toslink was ideal, and I can you is perfect for me and my Bravia 7. Mine is the 5m one so I could thread it through conduit. Buy with confidence.

I have yet to know if this product works. It connected at the TV end and I can see a small light at the jack end but because it's collar is fat, it will not fit the aux on the speaker. So I recommend if the aux position is confined around it's entry point don't buy this product. I am currently looking for a slim adapter now to make this product hopefully work.

I bought a hi-res dap to play my lossless files, with it came a optical cable which I used to connect to my active speakers. Reading a few reviews about cables they wrote there wasn't any difference between optical cables as they all transmit a digital signal... How wrong are they! As soon as I connected the new cable I was greeted with a new found competence, better sound staging and clarity and more dynamics. Thank you EMK.

maybe I got a duff one but, having plugged it in, when I came to unplug it the cover jumped it's threads and I was left with the uncovered cable still in the socketreturned for refund - I'll try I different make...

Great quality from a trusted and known brand. You can get copy-types much cheaper of eBay although the braid material is often quite stiff, can do damage to connectors when inserted. The braided cable on this EMK is very supple and feels refined. Colour of metal housing around the connectors is a very nice gun metal polished finish.Has very good connectors on either end and is made properly. Good materials and sturdy workmanship. Spend a little more initially and be glad you did long term.Highly recommended and would of course purchase again.
