I’ve been doing Keto for 2 years and there is still so much research that comes out every week and contradicts the research done last week that it’s amazing people do it at all.Even my favourite UK keto youtuber couldn’t understand why this would be necessary but as in the UK we have so little “real” keto products available to buy to assist us I couldn’t see what the problem is.It contains MCT oil which last month was the best thing to have on keto and yet this month isn’t, it has a nice ratio (to me) of protein, carbs and fats so it’s quite good.Now - mixing it with water for 200ml will give you a thimblefull! It is a tiny amount and so I use between 300-400ml of water and make it a much longer (though more diluted) drink and the mocha one tastes fine this way.But - on the suggestion of another reviewer I found some unsweetened almond milk which is 0 carb and oh my god it’s a game changer! Again 300-400ml of this milk and two scoops of the powder and wow it’s absolutely delicious!Points to note - even though it is Slimfast this isn’t technically a meal replacement shake like a lot of their other products, it is more of a supplement and that’s how I see it. When keto is done right your appetite does reduce slightly, that’s how you know it’s working, but with these shakes it’s a great way to just “top” up your quota during the day.The MCT inclusion can upset your tummy a little bit bear this in mind before you take it and see how it affects you.Is it strictly keto? It is for me, you be the judge, look at the labels see the macros etc and if it works in your plan then go for it, if it doesn’t (for whatever reason) then don’t. I wouldn’t want to just have two shakes a day and then a piece of meat for dinner so I don’t, I have a shake when I realise I haven’t eaten and oiled do with some fat and protein so for me it’s really good and fits in with my keto lifestyle

This keto shake has nice vanilla flavour. But it is not as good as the rich chocolate flavoured one. (But that depends on your preferences.It is easy to prepare. Convenient as meal for work when you are on keto diet.I mix it with milk, it tastes much better and still fit with my macros.It has 10 servings so one meal is £2 when bought in deal.Scoop is attached but it is buried so you need to dig it out.

Have tried all 3,vanilla the nicest for me,mocha barely has a taste other than mild chocolate,the chocolate one is very chocolatey,but vanilla is good,they don't mix well though so you can get quite a lumpy drink,so you need to really give it a good mix a fork isn't enough,they're tasty and good and low sugar and carbs,quite a high amount of fat per serving,around 16g,but they're worth a try.

The shake itself is amazing, tastes great, even better made with almond milk and a spoon of peanut butter. BEWARE: twice now have received out of date shake, April 2025, Bolo agreed to let me keep, refund and send out another but that was also out of date. This was in July. Also, I dread to think how much I have spent on this, can’t believe it’s now £17.99. A website called Nutricircle sells it for £6.99 3 for 2. Wish I’d found THAT sooner!!

The slim fast keto is not bad at all. It helps to have a meal replacement when busy. For me is handy to have at work. Flavour wise is more like a chocolate/caramel and need to steer well as otherwise has bits. I used a travel blender so was fine, otherwise a shaker will be good to use. I used 250ml of almond milk and added two spoons. It last me all morning and didn't feel hungry. It has a bit of after taste so I had a coffee afterwards and was fine. I think I will get the vanilla flavor next as having the shakes will stop me having the wrong choices😊

So, I've been a very happy low carb human and successful handling eating as a habit, saiety and energy levels with this route in the past. Some weight had crept on due to changes in lifestyle which included a breadmachine and so I'm firmly back on the proverbial waggon. Being a busy lady, I started with regular Slimfast to start to train myself into meal replacement because, let's face it, a simple glass of something liquid is not an insignificant adjustment before doubling down into the Keto version. I was ready and looked forward to getting stuck in.Unfortunately, there was nothing to get stuck "into". My body took the liquid like nothing more than a basic drink. It wasn't satisfied to any extent further than having the same volume of water. An hour later, no matter how I busied myself, I found myself mournfully jonesing for a snack like a starving puppy. I persisted until the end of the tub just to make sure it wasn't change-resistance.I've heard lots of excuses about the Keto version not meaning to be "meal replacement" per se, but honestly, if that's not the role it's being sold for, then I can think of 100 better and inexpensive drinks you might enjoy on Keto.I reverted to regular Slimfast this morning and feel full and balanced again. I may consider the value of adding soluble fibre to this product to make it viable but as it's already pricey, it's not a priority.
