5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value, excellent sound, easy to use
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I bought this having read the reviews and it's everything I hoped it would be and more. I bought it for our club to have some Bluetooth speakers in the pool room. The Speakers have excellent clear sound without distortion at high volumes. So easy to connect to via Bluetooth. For <£70 they really are a bargain. Build quality is good and they feel solid.Being picky, the drivers are exposed so for my public application I would have preferred to have grills on them however I'll place them on a high shelf to avoid them being tampered with.
5.0 out of 5 stars MAJORITY D40x Active Bookshelf Speakers | Bluetooth HiFi Speakers with 70 Watts, Kevlar Yellow
The MAJORITY D40x Active Bookshelf Speakers offer an impressive blend of style, power, and sound quality that make them a strong contender in the budget-friendly HiFi speaker market. With their vibrant Kevlar yellow woofers, these speakers not only catch the eye but also deliver a surprisingly rich and detailed audio experience for their price range.Design and Build QualityThe first thing that stands out about the D40x is its bold design. The Kevlar yellow woofers are a distinctive feature that adds a pop of color to any setup. The cabinets are compact yet sturdy, making them suitable for various spaces, from desktop setups to small living rooms. The build quality is solid, with a well-finished exterior that feels durable and premium despite the affordable price tag.Sound PerformanceFor a set of speakers in this price range, the MAJORITY D40x delivers commendable audio quality. The 70-watt output provides more than enough power to fill a room with sound. The Kevlar drivers are particularly effective at producing clear mid-range frequencies, which is crucial for vocal clarity and detail in music. The bass response is deep and punchy, though it might lack the thump that bass enthusiasts seek. The highs are crisp, although they can occasionally border on sharpness at higher volumes.Bluetooth and ConnectivityThe inclusion of Bluetooth connectivity adds a layer of convenience, allowing for wireless streaming from smartphones, tablets, or other devices. The pairing process is straightforward, and the connection is stable within the typical Bluetooth range. Additionally, the speakers come equipped with RCA and AUX inputs, making them versatile for wired connections to various audio sources, such as turntables, TVs, or PCs.User ExperienceSetting up the D40x is a breeze, thanks to the plug-and-play nature of the speakers. The controls are intuitive, with easy access to volume adjustment and input selection on the rear panel. The remote control, while basic, is a useful addition for those who prefer to adjust settings from a distance.Value for MoneyThe MAJORITY D40x Active Bookshelf Speakers offer excellent value for their price. They provide a well-rounded audio performance that surpasses expectations for budget speakers, particularly in the mid-range clarity and overall sound balance. The added bonus of Bluetooth connectivity and the eye-catching design make them a great option for those looking to upgrade their audio setup without breaking the bank.ConclusionOverall, the MAJORITY D40x Active Bookshelf Speakers are a fantastic choice for anyone seeking stylish, powerful, and versatile speakers at an affordable price. Whether you’re using them for music, movies, or casual listening, these speakers deliver a satisfying audio experience that will impress both casual listeners and audiophiles alike.Rating: 4.5/5
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Audio at an Amazing Price
I've always asked myself, if you had to lose one thing, your hearing or your sight, which would you choose? That's an age old question. As a photographer, if I lost my sight, I'd lose my profession. I love watching films, always have. Going to the cinema is the highlight of my week, the video shop was my local library and the telly is one of my best friends. But, I'll always choose music, hands (ears) down. Nothing compares.I've been on the lookout for an upgrade to my old, now decrepit setup for quite a while now.Every time I'd try some research, scouring the minefield that is The Internet", I'd get lost in a myriad of mixed reviews. And all seem to veer towards the premium, with "You get what you pay for" and, for most parts, this is true.Alas, I'm not able to hang with the big boys with their even bigger pockets, but I love music, no, I adore music. Not a day goes by without music. It soundtracks my life.I'll be honest, I'd never heard of Majority. But the reviews were all very positive, the price was definitely in my range but as we all know, the Internet is very adept at pulling the wool.Sod it! I'll give them a go...Wow! Straight out of the box, these sound incredible. Easy to setup, smaller than my old speakers but boy do they pack a punch! Not losing any clarity at the top end either. The Bluetooth setup was a breeze and the remote control is an excellent bonus. I was initially worried that the size of the D40X wouldn't fill my living room but they do with abundance. They also look and feel like premium speakers. I've had them for a week now, and I'm more than impressed. Even my family, who admittedly, dont share my affection for audio were all blown away with quality.Well done Majority. You've not only ticked all my boxes but done it without costing me a fortune or compromising on quality. Proof that great audio doesn't just belong to the silver spoon set. You've made a new fan.
4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent performing speakers for the price and size
Great speakers, clear sound with good bass and responsive reproduction. Slight annoyance that the minimum volume is still quite loud, so not that great for quiet nighttime music, but otherwise couldn't be happier. Dead easy to set up with bluetooth, and they look great and have the appearance and performance of much bigger and more expensive speakers. Would prefer a longer connecting cable as positioning is hampered by the short length of the inbuilt one.
5.0 out of 5 stars Does exactly what is said on the box
A great pair of speakers, good power for the price. Good connectivity, required leads and a remote control. What more could you want for a pair of speakers connected to a turntable or Bluetooth. The speakers are solid and heavy. We'll made compared to similar speakers in the price point.

The Most Musical and Enthralling Two Way Computer Speakers That I've Ever Heard!
I've been a fan of Higher End Audio since the late 70s. I have an excellent, older main system, and a bedroom system as well. I'm not interested in room-shaking explosions, and music that is over-produced to create emotional responses to films. I appreciate music and speech that sound natural, and spaced appropriately to let me concentrate on the different instruments and voices, as well as the whole sound. I look for something similar when I am on my computer, a sound that pulls me in, rather than jars. These speakers do it better than any other computer speakers that I've owned. These are replacing the well thought of Klipsch three piece Pro set, that I've used for many years. I have a motherboard with a Toslink port, and these speakers use toslink, as well as line/speaker in. I strongly recommend the toslink, if you have that option. They do come with a remote that has the basic features. Nothing fancy, because it's not needed. It also has bluetooth capability... but since the speakers sit on my desk, I haven't tried it. Also,.They don't need stands, since their base has sound deadening pads on them. Highly recommended for people who listen to almost all types of music.
Don’t Pass On These Speakers!
I was pretty skeptical about purchasing a sub $100 pair of Bluetooth bookshelf sized speakers when I first started shopping.I’m so glad I decided to take a chance on a speaker company that I had never heard of. I use this pair mainly for listening to music apps like Apple and Pandora via my iPhone or iPad over Bluetooth.I’m a 64 year old ex airline pilot and my hearing definitely took a beating over the years of jet noise. These speakers sound better every time I listen to them. I leave the equalizer off in the music settings on my iPhone and iPad and set streaming quality to lossless and just let the speakers do their thing. The highs are very crisp and the lows are really tight at all listening levels. Even when I push them to their limit when I use them for surround sound via optical cable on my tv they refuse to distort or clip.I’ve owned “audiophile” quality brands of speakers and these sound as good or better than similar sized and powered other brands.Give them a try, set them up correctly, and prepare to be blown away.
Bluetooth
Perfect bedroom speakers, with studio quality
Great Sound from Bluetooth speakers and great volume
Great Sound from Bluetooth speakers and great volume . Clear and nice - just I do not like the noise when turning on or off - wish I had the option to silence the voice.
