I bought this to help treat the chalazion on my eye, and it seems to be slowly reducing the redness, and keeping my eyelids clean. However, as a bonus, the sensitive skin on my skin that has flared up recently, has calmed down significantly, largely because of spraying this on my face. I really recommend it. Almost instant relief!

I suffer from blepharitis, it comes and goes. Sometimes 6 months between "attacks" even though I practice rigorous eye hygiene and never, ever touch my eyes (really I don't) but it always comes back. I then resort to a warm compress, which does eventually work but is impractical during a busy working day. So I thought I would try Optase purely from a convenience standpoint. I really wasn't expecting much to be honest. To my amazement, this stuff actually does what it claims to do. Within a few minutes of the first application, my eyes felt better and the eyelids were noticeably less itchy. I used the product as directed (spraying the lids with eyes closed) but came to the realisation that I should keep my eyes open when spraying. For me personally, the blepharitis is internal as well as external and the hypochlorous acid needs to get behind the eyelids as well. It does sting a little but this is fleeting and quickly passes; it's no worse than being in a swimming pool with chlorine in it ( which by the way reacts with the water to produce hypochlorous acid, hence sterilising the pool water).The results have been fantastic for me. No more gritty eyes, no more biofilms, no more itch, no more inflamed eyelids, no more styes and just the normal discharge in the corners of the eyes that we all expect from time to time.Great to keep on hand. I will certainly be ordering this again.
