The media could not be loaded. I think these Therapy lights are an awesome idea.I was skeptical but figured it was worth a try. And originally coming from a sunny country, I figured anything is worth trying.I took very long doing this testing as I figured 2 weeks was not enough.And let me tell you... I think that this product is definitely worth the money! I noticed a difference in my mood and felt it easier waking up to this light.It is worth a trying if the lack of sunshine is getting to you. BUT please give it time - it is not a quick fix

Olly Light Therapy LampThe lamp measures 65mm in diameter and the base is 66 cm in diameter so it is relatively small and very light in weight.It is very easy to use and has two light settings. The actual lamp sits on top of the magnetic base and works by tilting which then turns it on to its full brightness, tilting twice makes the lamp slightly dimmer. The light itself is actually quite bright on the first setting and at times I did find it a little dazzling but you do get used to it and it automatically switches off after 25 minutes.It doesn’t arrive charged up so needs to be charged before use which takes about two hours. The battery is charged by a USB connection and the charged light seems to last for about 1.5 to 2 hours when on the brightest setting.The lamp also comes with a neat storage bag which would be useful if you wanted to transport it somewhere else.Overall I like the design of this lamp as it sits neatly on the base, is a nice addition to a room and is small enough to have on your desk while working.As for the effectiveness of the light therapy it is very difficult to say whether it worked or not; I had it on in the morning which is what is recommended but having tried it for a week I can’t really say whether I felt more energised or positive, but it is a nice addition to my desk and I will continue to use it. I do think it is slightly over priced at £84.00 at the time of writing.

Disappointed by the quality of this light. It’s not very bright and the size makes it feel ineffective, especially on the darker days.

From a user with SAD (seasonal affective disorder), this type of light in affect, mimics daylight and is suppose to help alleviate the symptoms of SAD, where, in the colder, gloomier months, your mood affectively is reactive to the weather, becoming withdrawn, lethargic, suffering from loss of interest, irritable, even craving more carbs. This can sometimes be referred the winter blues or winter depression, especially if the person remains undiagnosed.How Does this Light Work?The light has two settings: low and high. The light in itself, is made up of two parts. The base and the light which just slightly smaller than a tennis ball.The first time you use it, you will need to charge it, as it arrives with absolutely no charge. Charging takes about two hours and lasts about four hours on the 'low light' setting and about one and a half hours on the 'high light' setting. I haven't tested whether it remains working for this length of time, as it has an auto-shutoff after 25 minutes each time.The Restrictions:The light, though wireless, cannot work without the base. This is because the illumination is solely controlled by the base's magnetism. Tilting it in a way described in the easy-to-understand illustrated pamphlet turns it 'on'. Tilt it again, turns it off. Tilt it again, turns it to the other (high/low) light setting. Tilt it again, turns it off again.Does the Olly Work for SAD Symptoms?This version was no different to having a daylight halogen bulb fitted in a room, especially if you have dimmer lights, like we do. It made little difference to increasing positivity in mood for the person that needed it the most, even with continued use. The light after all, is quite artificially bright white, and does not reflect the sun's natural hues.On the plus side, it is a good little bright night light if you have a bedside table, as it won't work without it's stand.Would I Pay Around £80 For It?Nope. Not even close to it's true worth in our personal opinion.3 stars for this high price. Definitely 4 if it was priced a lot lower.

If you step away from the SAD claims on this then here is a lovely little bright lamp that actually looks really good in the corner of my bedroom and is housed in a lovely colourful casing.It charges in a couple of hours and being rechargeable won't cost you a fortune in batteries.Midwinter is the perfect time of year to test claims that it can lift your mood and improve concentration.I followed instructions in this regard meticulously. However there has been no noticeable effect in me. Others, perhaps those for whom a lack of sunlight is a known antecedent to low mood or poor concentration might find it useful. But it did nothing for me except look great in my bedroom.But I can get much less expensive lamps to do only that.

Great Design, Portable, and Working as described

Purchased both, Day and Night ones.Night one was for my high schooler daughter. She has been in online schooling since COVID, and it has been challenging for her to keep healthy sleeping cycle. She tried some herbal teas, but nothing really worked out for her and we didn't want try something like melatonin. At very first time, she was skeptical about this therapy lamp, but just after the first use, she really liked it and keeps using it since then as sleeping help. She also likes its cute design and orange light as mood lighting, too.I am using the Day lamp for myself. I have been working from home more than a year now and afternoon time especially after lunch has been challenging for me to keep focus on work without in-person interactions. The Day lamp kept me awake and focused.They were delivered faster than estimated and packaging was (Apple-product-like) very nice. Especially like it come with a travel pouch. The lid also serves as a base and the magnetic based on/off is very easy and convenient.

Olly Light Therapy LampI've been through a lot of light therapy lamps and I still don't know if they work for me. So I won't address that in the review and instead I'll talk about what makes this one different from others. The light is super compact and easy to charge and travel. The charge outlet takes a USB-C connection, which is great because that's what our phones use. The lid is adorable, but it's an integral part of how to *turn it on*, so you don't want to lose it. The turning-on process isn't very intuitive: you pop off the lid, turn it over, set it on a flat surface, set the light on the lid, line up the "Olly" brand word, and then tilt the light forward. There are two modes: brightest and still-pretty-darn-bright.Actually, let me repeat that: this light is BRIGHT. That's true for both the day and night versions. I ended up buying the pink "night" light to try it out as a companion to this one, and both of them are too bright for us to look at directly. I ended up having to turn the light and bounce it off of a nearby wall to get the light effect without getting a light-headache in the process. Now, I'm very light sensitive already and need to wear sunglasses outside at all times, so take with a grain of salt as your mileage may vary. I bought two, but both of them came with the security seal cut off, and even one box tape was attached and delivered.Even when I opened it, the cables from the two products are clearly different.I wonder if the product I bought was used.
