It made a great broth soup flavour

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value, quality service

    P. · 15 November 2022

This review is just a warning to buyers not to make the same mistake I did. The seller has pointed out to me that what at first appears to be an old use-by date is in fact the production date. I noticed a couple of other buyers leaving negative feedback on this issue, so thought I should set the record straight by way of an apology. It makes great dashi and the used seaweed crisps up nicely for rice toppings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice taste

    J. · 19 July 2021

Big packet. Much thinner and softer than the kombu I used to cook with my beans and it calls itself kelp on the packet. There is no claim about it being harvested in unpolluted waters ( if such a thing exists). Nevertheless it is very pleasant to eat.

3.0 out of 5 stars Expensive but ok

    M.S.H. · 24 April 2021

Bit expensive for what it is but does the job I intended it for

5.0 out of 5 stars bought and used for Ramen broth

    M. · 8 April 2022

Bought this Kombu to add to my Ramen broth pot. I have seen some reviews mention that its covered in white stuff...you know, i think that's how its meant to be...its just salt, just wipe it off with a clean damp cloth. Anyway, once added to my broth pot it simmered away and softened into beautiful flavoursome big bits of kelp. Ramen turned out amazing, would buy this product again

4.0 out of 5 stars Yummy

You have to soak this for 10 minutes. It’s easy enough and tastes good!
