I bought this to use my laptop to watch netflix etc on an old non-smart TV and it has exceeded expectations. It has play and pause buttons and powers the TV on and off as an added bonus. Keys are backlit making it easy to use in the dark - thinking of getting another to make searching easy on my smart TV. It is easier to use with 2 hands otherwise it will slip away from you, but use your thumbs like a phone and away you go. It has good battery life so far and worked straight out of the box. I knocked off a star as it is quite slippery to hold, and sometimes my finger has blocked the signal due to the way I've held it, but others might not have a problem with this?

I use these mini keyboards with my smart TV to make things like searching on Youtube/Netflix/etc. a lot easier, and this keyboard is one of the best I've used.The keyboard layout is very convenient, with a separate number row and F-number row, the latter of which is defaulted to various media controls like play/pause, home, back, FF/rewind and so on. The fact that all these are the default function is so much better than other mini keyboards, where it's usually a combination button press with the function button.The real winner with this keyboard is that the orange buttons can learn from other IR remotes. This feature can be a bit hit and miss on some devices (I also have the Rii K06, which ironically seems newer than this one and is also supposed to have IR learning, but it simply doesn't work with that one), but it works perfectly with this one. It means that some of the more obscure functions from your standard TV remote like input selector, settings button and so on can be taught to this keyboard, and it even works with multiple devices, so for example you can control your receiver settings instead of through the TV commands. I even have a Dreo smart fan controllable by this.The only thing that brings this down slightly is that it lacks bluetooth. It is only 2.4Ghz RF, which is odd because it has a USB-C charging port, so it's clearly somewhat newer. I will also add that if your remote is struggling to maintain a stable connection with the device, try different USB ports. For some reason, when plugged into a USB 2.0 500mA port in my TV, the connection was very spotty, but when I use a USB 3 900mA port, it works much better. It could be poor insulation on that port or some other factor, but I wouldn't have expected it to require a high spec port. Also, unlike other mini keyboards, this doesn't have an auto-sleep, so you might accidentally run the battery out.

Works well, IR remote function is handy, the track pad is a little awkward imprecise and has false movement. It works for occasional use as intended.Battery is quickly rechargeable. On a HTPC i just plug into charge while watching something every 3 or 4 days, It can be used while charging.

This is a good keyboard up to a distance. In my case it did not perform well. Features are good. I had to return it but this could be very good if you are not too far from the tv.

I've had this remote for a few days and it's used mainly when I'm in bed or watching TV. My setup is a monitor and a sound interface (no remote used), both taking a feed from a laptop. Particularly when watching Netflix or any other streaming/on demand service, it had been annoying to have to go to the laptop to control the program.This remote is thus used mainly to perform actions I formerly had to do from the laptop. I don't use the infra-red controller, as the hardware I'm using isn't a conventional TV. I have to report that this controller does everything I would normally have to do from the laptop keyboard or mouse, and it's light and small and easy to use.In addition to watching video, I've also found it very useful as a keyboard/mouse device for music production using a DAW.For my purposes, this gadget has excelled my expectations.

I bought this so i could control my nvidia shield tv.. I got this model because it was able to learn some commands from my infra red tv remote..so i could turn the tv on and off without having to keep finding the tv remote.Instructions were the usual badly translated english but youtube showed how to copy the tv remotes controlsSo far im very pleased with my purchase.

I purchased this specifically to use with the Asus ROG Ally X; however, the device requires a USB port to connect the receiver, which is disappointing.This represents a design flaw, as it should support Bluetooth connectivity without the need for a dongle.Tested on few mobile devices, none can discover this product.As a result, I will be returning this product.
