These 4-inch quick grip clamps are great for light woodwork and other small tasks that don't require that much clamping power. The one-handed operation is an excellent feature, making them easy to grip and lock into place, especially when you’re holding materials in the other hand. The quick-release mechanism works smoothly, allowing for fast repositioning or removal without any problems.However, the clamping force is where these fall a bit short. They’re fine for holding lightweight materials or securing smaller pieces, but they struggle with anything that requires stronger pressure. I used them for the first time today, and I found they flex slightly under tension, which can affect precision when working with heavier wood or tighter fits. I know that it says they are for heavy duty tasks, but I guess that depends on the task at hand and the materials you are using. I do a lot of heavier woodwork so I couldn't use these for that, but they will definitely come in handy for smaller, lighter tasks that I want done quickly, and that don't require that much clamping power. I think that the manufacturer needs to re-position these for smaller, lighter tasks rather than just claim they are heavy duty when they are not.For the price, they’re an okay option if you’re doing casual or small scale projects, but if you need something for robust woodworking or need clamps for heavy duty tasks, then you really need to spend a bit more and get some built from thicker and sturdy material, and it's because of the lack of clamping strength that I have given these 4 stars.

The clamps are as shown, but the scale was not adequately represented. They are much smaller than expected &, while useful, not for cabinetry as purchased.

I read the negative reviews regarding this product, and was apprehensive on making the purchase. People complained that the clamps are cheap and plasticy, and not strong enough to be effective; however, as I needed clamps to hold down porcelain tiles when I cut them, I didn't want something that would apply too much pressure; and this product was perfect for the job. The clamps applied 'enough' pressure to hold the tiles for cutting, to prevent movement, but not enough to damage the tile; furthermore, they were quick and easy to use. Are they a premium product and suitable for every application? No, but they were perfect for what I needed them for.

If your working with matchsticks these are perfect.Other than that I see absolutely no use in these .The description should have been a little clearer .I believed that the max opening was as described NOT the actual size of the grips complete .Waste of time .waste of money .If your learning children woodworking then perfect ..
