5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to make
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Well I have always been fascinated by candles and candle making so I went for the kit. I’m really impressed by the end product, four scents and colours to choose from. It was very easy to make from melting to adding the colouring then scent, just wait patiently for the wax to set then hey presto light the candle. Moving forwards it would make sense to buy a large batch of wax to bring the price right down. Great fun and lovely to look at in the Autumn/winter evenings. There is a set available from the same company but no scents.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great starter kit
Lovely starter kit well worth the money with clear instructions.
4.0 out of 5 stars Cute, value for money but English and stickers and instructions not great.
Product of self was really cute and easy to use. The instructions and labels that came with it however...Unfortunately, the English was very poor. The instructions were difficult to follow and the wording on the stickers were a little odd.I bought it for my home educated child to make. I made one as a practice without the instructions and it went well. My child made it with his Granny trying to use the instructions and it was very difficult to follow. They had fun though and it is quite a good price compared to similar kits. It comes with plenty of wax and wicks so we can make more in the future. You barely need to use any of the colour in the candle but put more of the oil fragrance in then you think. They smell beautiful and the colours are very pretty.
5.0 out of 5 stars This is good value
Lovely kit and clear instructions for a newbie. Fragrance last and well presented
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good
All basics, kids enjoyed making candles it was better than tv or computer games. They made an assortment of different designs. Best to buy extra moulds and scents plus colours. Kept them busy all day with adult supervision.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good instructions provided
I am new to candle making, but this kit seems to have everything I need to get started, It is well presented and everything looks and feels of a good quality. I can't wait to get going. There is a well written instruction leaflet included which has easy to follow steps with photos and a QR code to scan to watch a candle making video. I am very pleased with this set and happy to recommend it.
3.0 out of 5 stars Ok if you’ve never made a candle before
I bought this to start my candle making journey. It’s got all the bits you need and it’s very easy to follow the instructions. In fact I ended up with a very nice looking first candle. It’s just a bit underwhelming though. The small pot for melting the wax is very lightweight and the long handle makes it fall over until you put wax in it and there was no thermometer for gauging when to add the scent. Not that a thermometer is very helpful when dealing with such small volumes. The wicks were also far too long for the short pots provided. I also suspect they were too thick causing the flame to burn too hot because when I lit the candle it created a very deep wax pool and there was no scent at all. I realise there are lots of reasons for a candle not producing scent but I did hope that a starter kit would be optimised so it produced something. Still, it taught me the basics but don’t expect to do anything more with this kit than produce small, brightly coloured candles that don’t smell.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great starter kit
Great starter kit, gives everything you need to make your own special candles. Very much value for money, fun and the size is manageable
