This is an item that I did not think I would be reviewing So I purchased this throne to replace a broken seat I looked at over 20 products to get some idea of what to look for and in the end, I chose this one because The description on the website was very positive and the video helped me in my choice my wife and myself are large people so we needed something a lot stronger than the one we had since moving in over 9yrs ago I liked the fact that this seat was strong and well built It arrived a day earlier than I expected and was reasonable well packaged I removed the old seat and was ready to install the new one the instructions where easy to follow and I had the new one on within 5min and they also provide you with a link to a YouTube video showing you how to install the seat if you do have difficulty with the written instructions the seat is very comfortable and feels solid and is well built so it should last for many years to come I decided to also purchase the 4yr insurance cover just for peace of mind unlike other reviewers I was happy to pay a little more to get a quality product that I could rely on this is not an item that you think of buying until you need to but I would say if your throne has seen better days you should consider getting a replacement and you cant go wrong with this product It is available in a number of different colours giving you a good choice if you want to match your bathroom I am very happy with the quality of the seat and I have no problems recommending it to others

Purchased to replace an old damaged seat. I went for a new quick release one to make it easier to clean and found this to be very quick and easy fit, and has a good slow close facility which is much better when so people don't make a noise when closing the seat.I tried out the quick release and it's extremely easy to pop off, clean and then pop back on.The wood doesn't have a "wood" feel, it's more a polished finish when I don't think is to bad as it's easier to give a quick wipe over as part of the cleaning schedule.All in all, a good product which feels worth the money spent.

Excellent quality and very reasonable price. Great design feature that allows you to lift the whole thing out of the metal brackets to clean around the toilet properly and then it just pops back in securely. Recommend this no problem.

This toilet seat arrived very quickly and is exactly as described. Good looking seat that was easy to fix. All the necessary bits and pieces were included in the box, together with easy to follow instructions. I love the soft close mechanism. It's a little larger than the seat it's replaced, which I'm pleased about. It's a better fit on the toilet making it more stable to sit on. It appears pretty sturdy too, not flimsy like plastic. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the toilet seat.

Useless. This arrived whilst I was away and so it wasn’t installed until the return date had passed . These at keeps popping out of the fitting which holds it to the toilet . The screws remain in place and tight . This happens at least once /twice a day . It has chipped because it comes off with such force that it hits the floor or bath panel . If I could return it I would . Am now looking for a replacement seat of better quality

Why did you choose this product over others?:Toilet seat was good quality solid oak and was great for the price. It opened and closed nicely and would have been relatively straightforward to clean. However i returned it due to the fact that it didn’t fit my toilet. My bad, I didn’t realise that I needed a click on one prior to ordering.

Fitting was surprisingly easy. Item works and looks good for the most part.There is a chip on the very front of my seat, where you can clearly see the white plastic under the faux-wood coating. Most people probably won't notice it, but it's all I see when I look at the seat.I would return for replacement but in my situation it's too much effort. I could not find any other avenue to contact seller to at least mention, hence minus one star from my review.I'm trying to figure out ways to patch it up myself.
