This Samsung microwave was a Which Best Buy. My last cheap microwave fused the whole house after three years so I decided to be a bit more discerning. To be fair I have not used it a lot yet but it looks good and works and is a good size and not unpleasant to look at in the kitchen. There may have been other brands reviewed with a similar score but I know that Samsung products are reliable and trust them.

It was a Which recommended item, and seems to work very well. It has lots of features for cooking various things, which I will probably not use at all. There were no instructions with it, apart from copious safety warnings. It says it has different power levels, but there is no way of setting these; it just seems to work at full power. The timing control is poor compared with my last microwave, where I could set the number of seconds or minutes. This one just goes in multiples of 30 seconds. My last one also had a kitchen timer; this one does not. It looks white. The front is white, but all the rest of it is black.

I’m very happy with this microwave. Looks great in my kitchen. It is very easy to use and to clean. I’ve not used some of the features yet but the quick defrost mode is great and love how the timings are printed onto the inner part of the frame for easy access. Very good value for money too, this was £70 cheaper on Bolo than any other site so very happy with this purchase.

Smaller than expected and note the colour - the white is only the fascia. The rest of the microwave is grey / black which is obvious in the images if you're looking for it; but not if you're not.The manual is not supplied with it - you have to download it and there's not much more info than in the quick start guide in the box - which is v little information. If you want to know what power setting to use for "manual" defrosting (ie not using an auto-defrost programme) you're out of luck. You have to guess and experiment. V unsatisfactory. We bought this based on the Which recommendation and it may yet turn out to be great but so far we've been frustrated as much as pleased. (3 weeks in)
