Reviews:
5.0 out of 5 stars For me maybe for you if you are my vagina twin
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } This cup works for me, you need to know yourself as much as you can and understand cups a lot to get one that works really well.I have a high cervix and though this isn’t the longest cup I can reach it to remove in a certain position, which works for me.The stem is a soft kind, some review this as bad but it’s not bad for it’s intended purpose at all, it’s meant to be soft so you cannot feel it by your public bone or creating any friction, for this reason, if you need a firm large stem to grip and wiggle you will find it way too small and soft so this cup & saalt in general isn’t for you! It’s very bendy because the stem isn’t meant to be pulled straight down, you find it, pinch and slowly wiggle left then slowly wiggle right and repeat as you pinch further up the stem until you find the base, once there you reach in further to pinch the base and wait for the suction to release and then wiggle gently to remove the cup.It has 30ml capacity (I got the regular for high cervix) meaning I can have long gaps between changing on my heavy day, once sealed I don’t leak at all nor has it ever unsealed it’s self. I do lots of physical housework and exercise and yoga in my cup, I shower and bathe with it, bowel movements also don’t move it but this could be different for you. For reference I go 12 hours on a light day, and sleep between changes, and go 6-8 hours on a heavy day and sleep between changes (all white sheets but Im not afraid it’s genuinely never let me down once sealed)On the subject of me choosing the regular size, I don’t have a heavy period for more than one day, I’ve not had a baby, I’m 24, I have a high cervix. The small is only 5ml less capacity but the base of the cup sits higher in you so this is why the regular is recommended for higher cervix users. The cup is one of the better to insert as it’s soft and silky. Once in I wait for the pop (Proper seal created) instead of poking around up there, usually happens between 1m and 30m after insertion. Some people do reach up and try to make it happen but this is a softer cup meaning it may not instantly pop open and seal for you. But i find it’s fast enough with low effort from me to work well for me.This cup being soft is good for sensitive bladders or if you’ve had firmer before and felt it when you shouldn’t, mine figuratively disappears once the seal is made, I feel some fullness until it seals. The product itself is great quality silicone, cleans well and feels great, if cups were a thing to show off I would parade around with this grey beauty outside of my body rather than in it 😂. Packaging is all cardboard minus one disk of plastic which is easily removed for recycling.
5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable and easy
This is my first menstrual cup, I was firmly a pad girl before because the tampons are just so uncomfortable. I find it is comfortable and though it can slide, it doesn't often, and I can wear it at night on my heaviest flows and not be worried about pooling. It is a flexible material and gets good suction when inserted properly.I'm gonna go into dirty detail so scroll away now if you're not interested. Before inserting, boil some water and stick it in there for 5 minutes to sterilise (and wash your hands while youre at it) unless you want nasty infections. Next, sit on the toilet, it's gonna get a bit messy. You need to fold the cup and kinda just shove it up there fingers and all until you can feel the cup unfold and hold on. You can take a finger and feel around the rim to make sure it is fully unfolded and settled. If you can pinch the bottom of the cup and it doesn't pop back out into its original shape it's not inserted correctly. Then have a quick wipe and wash your hands coz your fingers look like you just practiced magic from the dark hold.I can usually go from 8-12 hours before unclogging the drain and giving it a quick wash before reinserted. When taking it out. Sit on the toilet again. Shove your fingers up, find the tail, climb up until you can feel the bottom of the cup, pinch it and gently pull out, if you feel grip, it's still suctioned so pinch it a bit more until the seal is broken. It is a great sensation letting all of that blood out of you and you might as well call your toilet carrie cos it's covered in blood. This bad boy can hold a lot of blood so my fellow heavy flowers can rejoice.Make sure the cup is newly in before going to bed, the seal means that even if you overflow at night, it doesn't trickle out and onto your bedsheets. I've never had spotting in any underwear, it's been in for entire work days and not moved, it takes one or two goes the first time, but is easy to place when you've got the routine. One thing I noticed is that in the later stages when you're not bleeding so much anymore and its more spotty, you kinda loose the lubrication to get it in, so imo it gets a bit more uncomfortable. It's at this point i tend to switch to pads which then don't need changing as often until I finish up completely. So, overall, great when you're starting and in your flow stages. Easy insert and removal. Lasts a whole day, or at least a work shift. No worries at night. Bit uncomfortable towards the end of the period. Comes with a nice bag.
Cannot feel it at all. Lots of positives
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } *this is a pretty long review and I have a lot to say. In sort, I really liked this cup. It's perfect for younger people, does not leak, and is comfortable to wear when using the bathroom.*Originally, I first started with Diva Cups since it was sold at my local pharmacy. The diva cup was way too large, thick, long, and uncomfortable. I could feel it coming out throughout the day and would always leak. I assumed this was probably because the shape or size of this cup made it impossible for me to easily get it to suction, or the fact that I have a tilted cervix. I concluded that both of these things were probably at play and contributed to the Diva Cup being uncomfortable. So, I decided to try another cup. I wanted to try a shorter cup this time, and something softer since the Diva Cup was too hard. So, I opted to get the soft Saalt cup. I read the reviews and the cup looked very short so I was hopeful it would work. Keep in mind I am not old at all, and because of that I never had children. The cup arrived in a very cute packaging. I simply let it soak in boiling water for no more than 5 minutes and washed it out with scentless soap after wards. Then, I used it. It was very easy to insert since it was small. The diva cup hurt to put in and take out so the Saalt cup was an improvement. Once it was in, I pushed it far up and expected it to be noticeable when I stood up, but I truly could not feel it at all. However, the cup seemed to sit further up but not far enough for me to not be able to feel it. Throughout the day, I knew a cup was up there but I genuinely could not feel it. There was also no leaks. When I went to take it out at the end of the day, the cup was actually halfway full on one of my light days. I am pretty heavy so anyone with a normal flow should be able to use this cup for 12 hours no problem. It was a little hard taking it out and I was afraid it was tugging on my cervix because I couldn't release the suction, but it only took me a few minutes to release the suction. I continued to use this product for a couple more days and it was perfect. Some positives is that I could keep the cup in me while using the bathroom (1&2). This wasn't the case for the Diva Cup. Softer cups have a reputation for "falling out" while your using the bathroom but not this one. Overall, this cup is really good and I recommend it to people who are younger, have a shorter/curved cervix, have bladder problems when using a regular stiffness cup, can feel regular stiffness cups, and also those who want to just try a new cup. I would not recommend the softer version for new users mainly because it can be scary to take out and put in since it is so soft.
