I’ve come to really value organic plant-based algae oil as an ethical source of omega-3s, specifically EPA and DHA, which I know are important to support heart, brain, and eyes, and for reducing inflammation. What draws me most to algae oil is that it’s the original source of these nutrients—fish only acquire omega-3s by eating algae, so why not go straight to the source?Algae oil is cultivated in controlled environments, meaning it’s free from the pollutants fish might absorb from the ocean—like mercury, PCBs, or microplastics. This makes me feel safer, especially when thinking long-term. Plus, knowing that no marine ecosystems are harmed in the process makes it a much more sustainable and eco-friendly option. It has a much lower carbon footprint and doesn’t contribute to overfishing, which really matters to me.Since I follow a plant-based lifestyle, algae oil fits perfectly—it gives me the omega-3s I need without compromising my dietary choices. I also love that it doesn’t come with that dreaded fishy aftertaste or digestive issues some fish oil supplements have. The fact that it’s easily absorbed is a bonus too.Even though both algae oil and fish oil offer comparable health benefits, I find algae oil a more compelling choice overall. It's clean, sustainable, kind, and just as effective. This is not the cheapest option but when it comes to top line vital support in key areas I believe this is a serious contender in the space. I would love to see this product around the £20 for a month supply................I guess I can dream!

I'm starting this with the price, because these are unbelievably expensive, over £30 for a 1 month supply is absolutely outrageous. Yes, they do have high levels of DHA coming in at 500mg per serving (2 capsules) which is great since that's going to give you a lot of benefits, but then it only has 5mg of EPA, which is next to nothing, so you're really missing out on one of the main beneficial compounds of this type of supplement, which is why I can't recommend this product. When there's other, cheaper products on the market that offer high levels of DHA and EPA for less money, it becomes hard to recommend this.On the plus side it's vegan which of course makes this fish free, meaning no fishy aftertaste, smell or flavour, a definite bonus.It's definitely a high quality product and it is a good one but for me, the price and lack of EPA left me a bit underwhelmed. I suppose if you're not too bothered about the benefits of EPA then this will be suitable for you, so I'll just say do your own research and form your judgement regarding that, but it's definitely something to be aware of.

On paper, this combo seems ideal for your health needs. Obviously, I do research before taking anything; however, like I said above, this seems like a good combo of supplements regarding effectiveness. It remains to be seen.It also appears to be less costly than off-the-shelf specialised stores

These soft gels aim to support healthy heart, brain, and immune system function. The bottle clearly displays detailed nutritional information and ingredients which support this claim: containing good levels of the important and main omega fatty acids recognised to be effective in this aim. These 60 soft gels, described as capsules on the bottle come in a dark sealed glass bottle. The large soft gels (23mm long x 8mm wide at widest point) are smooth, have a very slight fishy taste, but are easy to swallow. It is recommended to take 2 capsules daily with food, which when taken with food the slight fishy taste is unnoticeable. Being plant-based fish oil alternatives, they will be acceptable to vegans and nonvegans alike, though at just over £38 per month they are quite expensive.
