Handles a LOT of power without distortion.
If you're looking for a high quality, full range speaker with a tremendous amount of mid-bass, I'd highly recommend these. They DO require a decent amount of power, so if you're just wanting to drive these with an OEM head unit, these aren't for you. Large heavy magnets, with the tweeter mounted on the back with a dispersion cone through the mid-bass driver. I'm using a US Acoustics (class A/B) amplifier to drive these, which are in the rear doors of a 2012 F150 and the sound reproduction is phenomenal. I would strongly suggest using Dynamat or Kilmat with these. A bit pricey, but speakers are where the rubber hits the road...you get what you pay for.
If you ride a motorcycle with speakers in the fairing these are the speakers you want.
I have been using cerwins in my home since 1986 ,I had a pair of D9s and they rocked my house and all the ones around me. I just found out that they also make mobile speakers so I had to give them a try. After doing a little research I decided on the ph654 speakers. Well after installing them I was more than surprised with the sound and the clarity of them,even on the highway doing 75 or 80 and over the sound of the bike clear as a bell. I ride a 2003 harley electraglide with screaming eagle exhaust so its loud.If I could find a pair of speaker pods that these would fit in because the magnet is almost as big as the speaker it self I would definitely buy another pair. I should mention to that I am only using a pioneer head unit to power the speakers that only has 50 watts max.
These speakers sound good in my 22’ Road Glide!
I love the quality in sound produced by these speakers. Highly recommend.
Bang for your buck
I have 2 sets of these on my 07 electra glide. It rocks. I did have to buy a 3rd set to replace i speaker that failed. Upon inspection its missing a screw for the tweeter in the back. But diamond audio bought these guys out so they are of good quality and all 3 sets were still cheaper than 1 set of diamonds.I have these powered by a 1000w 4 channel soundstream picasso nano and its crystal clear at all speeds.
These speakers scream
Loudest speakers I've ever owned for the money. These ran off the right amp and you wont want to turn it all the way up. They are not meant to add much bass but are as loud and clear as you could ever want. I have them in the fairing of my 16 HD CVO Street Glide.
