I'd been using cafetièrefor some time but was fed up with the mess and waste of water dealing with the coffee grounds, so when my daughter bought a coffee machine (not this one) I thought I'd do the same, and the offer clinched it for me when deciding on this one. The only feature this lacked, compared with hers was the lack of a strength control, but having read the reviews for the other, considerably more expensive, machine it seems that this control has little or no discernable effect.I'v been using the machine for a few days now so its too early to judge the durability, but first impressions are good. It makes good coffee, is very simple to fill and use, seems well made and is easier to clean than my cafetière. I have purchased some filter papers (size 4) to make it easier still.One of the things that put me off a lot of the more complex machines was difficulty cleaning, but this, as a simple machine is very straightforward. I know that I will need to descale the unit (as I would with any other machine) periodically, but that will be compensated by less often descales of the kettle instead.I reckon environment-wise, using the machine to just make the exact amount of coffee I need will use less energy than boiling a kettle and less water because of this and no prolonged rinsing to get rid of grounds from the cafetière. Paper filters and the grounds can be composted, rather than washing them down the sink.I can't speak about how well the hotplate works as thus far I've only used it to make a single mug of coffee, so I haven't left it standing. I guess if I used the timer function to make a brew at a predetermined time it would be a benefit, but frankly the time it takes to brew a large mug-full is short enough that I can make it on demand whenever I get up and I don't have the coffee sitting out all night, so I don't think I'll use the timer, but I can see that it may be useful in some circumstances like for a dinner-party (remember those?) to be able to serve coffee quickly after the meal.Overall then, a useful addition to my kitchen. I will probably update this review in 6 months or so, to give a longer-term review of living with the machine. I usually make 3 large mugs of coffee a day.

It works great. Easy to use and clean. Lovely machine.A new review: I've used the machine about 15 times mabe 20 in total. The other day I turned the machine on to make a few cups and it didn't work except the clock, and the lights. I've tried several times to make a coffee but it does not work, even if its on for 30 minutes? Not even a noise. So now I'm disappointed. Shame, as I must say that I really do like it. I was doing what it was supposed to do, with efficiency.

It's easy to use, has a nice look, and is priced well for the quality. It's also easy to clean or refill. I am very happy with it.

Having purchased this coffee maker as a replacement for my 5yo Kenwood that quit, it seemed quite good, until it ceased working in July 2024, less than a year into it's 2yr advertised warranty! I followed the Bolo link to request a warranty replacement, and having waited for 7 days with NO response from the vendor, made contact with Bolo on Chat. Because I had made contact with no response from the vendor with their 2yr warranty, Bolo was happy to provide a replacement or full refund. I chose the refund as I wasn't interested in a repeat performance. I packed up the dead machine and took it to my Royal Mail post office, they scanned the return QR code and voila, my gift card credit was ready to spend in my account. Thank you Bolo!

The coffee brews quickly but it doesn't stay hot for long at all, the plate too, despite wiping very regularly has started to tarnish.

I work in a small office on my own so decided to buy the Yabano coffee maker for my office about 13 months ago. It’s used a LOT & so far it’s produced nice hot coffee which can be kept warm for up to 30 minutes I’d say. So far I’ve had no leakages, I like the size of the pot, and everyone coming onto the corridor where I work all comment on the welcoming smell of coffee especially first thing in the morning.My home Tower coffee maker started leaking so I had to get another machine. It was a no brainer for me; purchased another Yabano coffee maker! I hope this coffee maker is just as good as the one I have in my office.Machine arrived securely packaged. Delivery man arrived within the timescale given, was very polite, and he handed the machine to me.Lose equipment has been washed properly & I’ve done 3 runs of clear water to clear the actual machine so now I’m going to make my 1st cup of coffee!
